I think you need an appliance, and not PCs. I have connected to my XBOX 360 to test it before.

Copy & Paste some link for information on LG Optimus 7 since no one has yet to put it here. smile.gif

user posted image

The::unwired have reviewed HTC’s Media Link, which allows music, pictures and video to be streamed via DLNA to any television with HDMI input.
The device, which will cost between £80 and £90, is intended by HTC to work with their Android handsets, but appears to work perfectly well with any DLNA-compatible device, including Windows 7 PC’s and the LG Optimus 7.

Arne notes:
The HTC Media Link offers a hassle-free setup and allows users to easily stream content from a PC or mobile device to a TV-set which might not feature DLNA support. The setup is easy and straight forward and doesn’t requires any special network or AV knowledge. Right after the Media Link was connected to the flat screen and tuned on, I immediately found the WiFi SSID, broadcasted by the box and from there I was able to stream MP3, photos and even HD videos to the TV set. And while the HTC Media Link was announced as an accessory for the DLNA-enabled HTC Desire HD and Desire Z, in the tests it worked with every DLNA enabled device. For instance it allows to stream content from any Windows 7 PC since DLNA is part of Windows 7 but it also worked fine with the LG Optimus 7, the first and so far only Windows Phone 7 smartphone which comes with DLNA.

Until DLNA-compatible televisions become wide spread it appears to be a pretty simple upgrade to your current set, and who knows, maybe at some point HTC will bring DLNA to their Windows Phone 7 handsets also.

Link to the actual article.

This seems like a good device to get, for fast presentation from your phone.

Sick and tired of checking for NoDo update thru Zune ... check out the link below on how to tame "NoDo" ... thanks to Bonebreaker of xda-developers.

Get the NoDo Update right now!

It works for me. thumbup.gif

Below is latest info of my LG Optimus 7.

OS version :7.0.7390.0
Firmware revision number: 1.0.2.10
Hardware revision number: 1.0.0.0
Radio software version: 1.0.2.10
Radio hardware version: 0.3.5.0
Bootloader version: 1.5.0.0
Chip SOC version: 0.30.2.0

I'm not sure if it is the same for HTC WP7 but for those who got the LG Optimus 7 from Celcom, you can skip the registry hack since your phone is already unbranded ... with "000-88". Just straight go to step 1, read and follow the instructions carefully. I tried it several times finally managed to get it worked. rclxm9.gif

It is much faster for my phone to access Marketplace and to load apps. Btw, now my phone can also do what my other family members phones can do, ever since they got their phones ... that is ... cut & paste.

One thing that I was so eager about NoDo ... earlier I read it here ... after NoDo update, the wp7 would accept credit card with addr outside US. But that statement now is missing and I assumed MS took it out.

The wp7 now can accept the credit card but it still requires Singapore address since the region is preset to Singapore. If more people have updated to NoDo ... perhaps someone will figure out and finally I get to buy some apps ... soon hmm.gif I guess, that is the reason why MS took out the statement from WP7 Update history site.

try this
1.  Go to the phone app
2.  Dial ##634# and click Send
3.  When prompted for a password type 277634#*#
4.  You should now be at "Factory Menu"
5.  Choose "Engineer Menu"
6.  Choose "Other Setting"
7.  Verify that "Set ADC" is set to Enable
8.  From the "Other Setting" page, choose "Set network profile"
9.  You should now be on the "Set network profile" page and in the bottom half of the window you should see a list of *.xml files.  These appear to be the  network configuration files.
10. Look at the filenames for the config files and take your best guess at which one to choose for your provider.  if you are on CELCOM. try to find a xml file which have CELCOM in it.

After you choose that *.xml profile, your MMS should be working.

If you're gonna wait for the next hardware cycle you might as well wait for a Nokia... Though with all the expectations piled on them they'd need to make the bestest phone EVER!

Yeah, Nokia already has good camera quality on existing phones. They just need that 1 GHz processor for their WP7 phones.

The Optimus is a very good Windows 7 Phone. At least if you haven't tried Amoled of S-LCD screen before. After that, you'll notice immediately that the screen is not the best compared to other offering. Spec wise, its worse than the HD7.

On the plus side, it has one of the longest battery life compared to the other wp7 phone, here Mozart being the worse.

If I'm not mistaken, spec wise, Optimus 7 is BETTER than the HD7. I've seen the camera recording demo, very smooth compared to HD7. The only thing it falls short is the 3.8 inch screen. (Optimus 7 uses NAND flash so it is a lot faster than the HD7).

It's a tad bit heavy though.

what makes u say HD7 is better than Optimus 7? the HD7 is not any better than optimus 7.. the hardware is EXACTLY IDENTICAL except for the screen & battery size.

what i like about optimus 7 is the smaller screen, bigger battery thus better batt life.
