Just wondering, is G500 a good gaming mouse?

I got a deal for it for RM160-ish.
*
IMO pretty good compare it to my old razer death adder v2. But i find it weird that the front part kind of slant downwards from left button which sometimes makes me uncomfortable. Brand new for just RM160 or..? Wow. biggrin.gif

thanks, thats the problem; here i got no example of the g700 to test. i think the g9x should be superb, now just need to compare with g700.  sweat.gif

Some shop got demo unit for testing. You can go test. The G9x can be customize for the back palm rest to the shorter one. Can easily fit to a claw grip style. Too bad no wireless function.

G500 will be ok. Priced around 169-180. For keyboard, i'm not sure. I think it's worth to go with mechanical keyboard.

Increase the budget can get razer blackwidow. laugh.gif
I'll choose the G510 because of the macro keys and the lcd screen. You can read up the review between both keyboard before you decide. icon_rolleyes.gif

I mean cannot instant switch between the mode.

Like I need to scroll the wheel abit only the button will be pressable and can change mode ( only from hyper to normal )

My G500 can instant switch w/o any wheel spin

Check with the shop ..tried a new unit also same thing
*
No need to scroll the wheel, the button is press able/got tension. Not really sure whether only applied to that model mice you need to scroll the wheel to be able to activate back normal scrolling.

I would be totally pissed after the second change. Glad to see you still willing to give it another go. I think you might as well shoot logitech an E-mail regarding your issues.

Logitech Renews Commitment to PC Gaming, Introduces New Lineup
QUOTE
Today Logitech announced the new Logitech G line, reflecting its new approach to PC gaming. The new lineup includes six redesigned mice and keyboard favorites and two new headsets.

"With Logitech G, we put our passion for science to work for you," said Ehtisham Rabbani, general manager of the Logitech gaming business group. "Just as gamers are compelled to beat levels, our engineers are compelled to test scientific theories. For close to 20 years the relentless pursuit of what's next has been our game – and we're pretty darn good at it. With Logitech G we will continue to push the limits of speed, precision, reliability – even intuitiveness. We do it because gamers expect us to push the limits as far as they do. Every inspired design choice and late-night engineering argument serves but one purpose, to help gamers play their best. When science wins – gamers win."

QUOTE
LGS 8.45 is now available for download from Logitech's FTP site, although right now the 64-bit download link via this website isn't working due to a typo in the URL.
here are direct links that work:
