So, its not just me. The G400 middle wheel is indeed quite rough and need a little force to press and scroll. And mine LMB also feels wobbly. Sigh. Should've read review before buying this..*sigh*

yes the middle wheel feels a bit cheap, and my LMB did feel wobbly, but they were hardly noticeable.
i only this found out after i read your post.

nevertheless, i like how it feels in my palm, and that's the reason why i choose G400 over the rest (and it was actually the cheapest too biggrin.gif )

Perhaps u post up the box picture for clearer picture. So far I never sell Logitech products with Chinese word.... or perhaps ur's one parallel import from China? lol
*
the one with chinese words was not bought online, it was from local shop here. i ady throw away the box tho
anyway i will post here how different it is later, need to take some close up picture first.

the box roughly looks like this

I've seen it and try it.To be honest it is smaller than G500 or G400. But it has 9 programmable buttons and suitable for left and right hand. But i didn't recommend it because it has to many programmable button and thats why i bought G400..and the price is same smile.gif .
*
couldn't agree with you more smile.gif
2 extra buttons is good enough for me. no need that much programmable buttons.
and i jz bought a G400

conclusion is it depends on whether you're left hand user or right hand user.

no offence but left-handed person actually use their left hand to grab the mouse? coz all my left handed friends use their right hand to grab the mouse. i ask them to try left hand, can't even last for 30 sec.

ok, now i'ma show y'all some of the pic of the fake logitech m215 that i've bought from a local store.

user posted image
1. The on/off is not on the right side. Ori's on is on the right, where off is on the left. plus there should be color at the switch, where on is green and off is red.
2. the print looks cheap. ori's print is sharper

pic for comparison, note the on/off and the print at the bottom

3. There's a hole thing here. ori do not have this. plus there's no 'nano receiver' to be seen.
4. the edge of the nano receiver is sharper compared to the ori nano receiver.

This pic is for comparison

5. The metal finish of the usb is matte style, where the ori is chrome style.
6. nano receiver wording did not span to the whole receiver. by right it should.
refer to the pic above for comparison.

fake thing of course inferior quality. the rust show up in less than 2 months after purchase.

the light in the middle supposed to be green. but this fake thing is red, and it only shine when the mouse is moved.

where u bought it? i hate this fake/piracy/nongenuine thingy.  mad.gif

how to avoid such thing in the future? i mean, we most of the time, can't open the box to check it out...usually, logitech box only let us see upper part only hmm.gif

btw, Thumbs up for ur striking revelation. im appreciate it.  laugh.gif

A computer shop in Kota Kinabalu, and they have several branches already.
Ain't gonna say no name here. tongue.gif

Rules of thumb is if you see logitech product with chinese words on it, 90% chances that it is fake.
look at the nano receiver if it's placed outside, i already show what the fake one looks like.
If it's a wireless/cordless product, make sure the battery inside is Duracell.
Google how the box of the product you gonna buy looks like first before you buy.
Hell there's tons of fake logitech / other comp. peripherals here in KK.

Maybe the shop parallel import from China due to lower costing. Then can sell @ local Logitech prices  tongue.gif

for the sake of earning more moolah.. da fuq

QUOTE(keanoppy @ Dec 17 2011, 11:26 PM)
sorry,i meant g400
so the feel n weight should be the same rite?i'll just buy it xD
*
weight is the same, but the feel... the surface is a bit different if u see closely.
the mx518 is glossy but the G400 is matte surface.. the rubberised part is still the same

QUOTE(air_pull91 @ Dec 18 2011, 11:27 AM)
is the quality still the same or worst???
easily damage/broken/faulty all of a sudden?
*
of course worse, look at the photo i've taken earlier, already rusting
but the worst thing is knowing that you've bought a fake thing at the original price.. da fuq

QUOTE(XiuKeong @ Dec 18 2011, 05:45 PM)
Recommended to get from retail to avoid any disappointment smile.gif

even retail also sell fake thing... look for 'authorized retailer' safer
