what is n lenses?

dont think i can afford any of those FX thingy in the near future also ... hahaha ...

gold ring plus the 'N' is going to make me bankrupt for sure if i go FX ...

will stick to DX till i learn how to shoot properly ...

N stand for Nano coating.
the lastest technology of Nikkor lenses.
they made 1 extra coating called nano coating (of course the name tell us how small and thin the coating is yet it's so expensive, because nano technology the latest technology in the world CMIIW people still doing research about it to bring up the whole France's electricity use only nano technology) <- CMIIW I am just an IT student, I read it from media source

the purpose of N coating is to protect lens from ghost.
therefore you wouldn't have ghost like what I had in this picture


if you see it clearly you would be able to see 'greenish' color ghost in my picture.

N lenses will prevent that.
whether it works fine or not? I am not sure. I haven't own a single of them.
you can ask other nikon gear-ful sifu for that.. hahaha

oh u mean those f2.8 lenses. dont worry. i wont get those. imho those lense wont help u improve on your photography skill. i used to have a tamron 17-55 2.8 and a nikkor 17-55 2.8. the only diff is just the speed and the wow factor. u know what i mean? wow big lense factor

if nikon comes out with a new 17-55 with VR and Nano coating i will get it to replace my current 16-85 ...

i did mean zoom lenses, im hoping they come out with zoom lenses with constant f/1.4

so far only Nikon apply that Nano coating. CMIIW
