if not mistaken Nikon VR is based on lens, not on body(correct me if i'm wrong). Unless.....you jump to the Orange side.

LOL....i dont get why some ppl so hyped up about the d7000 until say it has in-body VR somemore =.=

d7000 is more or less just a d90 with some of d300s' features

I went blink.gif when streetboy said it has VR in it. So far i know Sony got IS in it.

aiyoyo, I've met alot of gear head around.

But I came across a funny one who asked for my recommendation. He owned Canon 550D with 18-135 lens. He wanna change his gear. Firstly, I asked why do you want to change?

He replied "because it looks lousy from the outside and not enough blur of the background photo". Wah piang. Gave me a total sweat bigger than Hiroshima.

So he ended up sold out his Canon gear and jump to Nikon D7000. Pretty useless tho since he buys his gear for display. (rich a$$)

Besides I need a recommendation. I lost my tripod ballhead plate and I don't really like my current ballhead. Seems not stable.

Do you guys prefer this type

Currently I'm using the first one. I'm thinking either to get a new ballhead or get the replacement plate. The major problem I'm facing is when i screw it real tight for example 45 degrees. But it will drop perhaps to 40 degrees. Hope you guys understand what I'm trying to say.

the one that i am using is tight and stays put ... but how heavy is ur gear ???

Basically just a D90 and kitlens? Shouldn't be thatttttt heavy right? Guess the ballhead ain't tight. Either consider to spend 80+ on the replacement plate or top up a lil on a better ballhead. rclxub.gif

Benro tripod is ok, but the ballhead quick lock seems better than the pusing pusing one? Not sure.
