If your account is linked to Singapore, you lose Zune Music Store functions.

Yeah. sad.gif
I created a SG live account for my WP7. Everything is great except for the Zune background image. Sighs... tempted to go back to the US Zune account, unless there's a way to run both accounts on the same phone.

That works when the country is selectable in the program. Malaysia is not in the credit card list.

I got the artist background images working on my Zune.

My Zune account region/language setting is set to the US but its linked to the SG Live account. I obviously can't buy anything from the marketplace or even link my Zune to my LIVE account because of the incorrect region, but downloading songs info and art is not a problem. I think you can change the settings from www.zune.net or live.zune.net

thurtin: your zune account is the same as your Live ID for the phone right? I still can't get the backgrounds working even though the region/language settings in zune.net is at US/International. sad.gif

Amazon Kindle
The Kindle app is optimized for the Windows Phone, giving users the ability to read Kindle books on a beautiful, easy-to-use interface.

*Haven't try this yet. Not sure if we can buy the e-book from Amazon and download it to our WP7 phone. Anyone have tried this?

Kindle is part of Amazon right? I think we should try to write to them directly.

You can try, but I'm pretty sure their response will be the same.

Thank you for your interest in the Amazon Kindle,

Unfortunately the Kindle is not available in your Country.

We are working hard to constantly adding new countries to our supported country list, but we cannot tell you when your country will be supported.

Once again, thank you for your interest in the Amazon Kindle.

Inevitably, as Windows Phone 7 takes off, so will the number of apps available for it. One of the biggest uses of our current mobile devices is to store books and audio books. However, the apps currently available for WP7 are rather limited in what they can do. With this in mind, XDA member dbroome has released an app to bookmark the audio book that you are listening to in case you need to stop. It displays all your mp3 eBooks and will certainly help you keep up with them if you like jumping from book to book (listening to several books at the same time). The app is a rather useful addition for Microsoft’s brand new OS’ arsenal.

Please download it from the Zune marketplace and leave some feedback for the dev if you find any bugs with it.

I was frustrated by the lack of built-in support for mp3-based audiobooks so I wrote this app. It lets you load as many audiobooks as you have memory for. It remembers where you are in each file of each book (and of course, which file you are listening to for each book).

It has standard transport keys plus the ability to enter HH:MM:SS to skip directly to.

You can find more information in the application thread.

I'm still kind of reluctant to install anything in marketplace lol.
Only Xbox Live Games, and some General Apps like Facebook/FourSquare/Adobe I will install. Kinda don't like to have 3rd party software in my phone so soon. XD
