Hi, i'm looking for a new tv now, after i came accross the 1st problem to choose whether plasma or lcd, now i having the 2nd issue whether hd or full hd?
Just wonder anyone of you guys experience or compare both before?
I don't have astro but then i plan to use it with my laptop to play movies sometimes, so is it crucial if the tv is not full hd?
Thanks for your opinions =)

Thanks for your opinions =) Depends on your eyes. Some people can tell the difference between 720p and 1080p, while some can't. Size of TV? If 37" and below I doubt if it'll make any difference, but since even Full HD ones are pretty cheap these days, might as well get one.

Get FULLHD lar, almost every other TV is FULLHD nowadays except Plasma. Depends on ur budget. My criteria: 1) FullHD 2) Size (Size does matter, bigger is better!) Whether LCD or LED or Plasma depends on ur budget. Can get 40" LCD FullHD nowadays for RM1.8k...Japanese brand...

If you intend to use with your PC, go for FullHD or the lower resolution will show up easily. If it is just for watching movies, a HD Ready will do especially the smaller sizes but if budget is not an issue, go for FullHD. Plasma is generally better than LCD for watching movies but the lower end models are not Full HD and so not so good for use with PC, so check the specs. My HDTV Blog gives a general idea in choosing a HDTV. Good luck.

If sit too far, need bigger screen that cost lots of $$. If no money, no choice but to sit nearer to get that same "big screen" sensation. If sit less than 7 ft, must have full HD.
