Install papago not necessary to root...............the SD card "root" directory meaning the location SDCARD:\

"root directory" meaning the base folder, like C:\ D:\ (can understand?)

root directory and root the phone are totally no relation

flash new firmware is different with root/unroot.............2 different issue

flash firmware like format your computer and reinstall new OS

root is like your PC obtained the adminstration level of the OS, so you can control all the setting in your PC.

in the android world, the firmware (Operating System) is not universal, cant flash others phone firmware. there is no 2.3 available for Galaxy 5

hello...after i flash to 2.2 froyo and instaled software called move2SD enabler...i can remove it...BUT...there is a problem..all the app that i moved to SD card is now disappear in the Menu...someone can help me to solve this issue?...it is hard for me to use the search option evrytime i want to play angry bird and etc..T_T

v3 dy. Official Froyo haven release yet...T_T

dat's y i dont' rely on the default android home. i use ADW launcher EX instead. problem solved. the shortcut in drawer will only disappear only if u eject the sd card. it became very convenient to me because i use more that 1 sd card. may be u can try it.

thats the bug of this leaked froyo........not the problem of move2sd enabler

actually thats other way to force the apps to sd without using move2sd enabler.
you can install the apps via 91assistant, the apps can force to sd

btw, from my understanding, we must flash the phone so that we can install our games in the sd card? is it?
for instance, those files that are in the dropbox acc, if i access using computer, then transfer into my sd card, i must hv froyo 2.2 before i can use the games is it? *pai seh ya..i'm still a newbie too

original G5's firmware is version 2.1 which unable install apps into SD Card (unless some complicate partition method). If we upgrade to version 2.2 then it enable to move into SD card.

So, if you flash to version 2.2, you can install into SD, if remain 2.1 then you cant install into SD.

most of the apps/games in dropbox can be use in both 2.1 and 2.2. So No worry of your firmware version.

help... the screen that has all the apps listed suddenly has double icons for some apps... angry birds, lookout, etc.

try restart the TWLauncher

restart sorted that out thanks. now i notice screen wont go into standby/lock. tried task manager "kill all". still no standby. went back to task manger... running apps are smart bar, launcherpro, contacts, settings. any ideas what i screwed up?
