GNOME Desktop hit 44% on Poll, as we love people's opinions, followed by KDE 3.5 with 20%, KDE 4 16%, both XFCE and LXDE with 8%. So, we will think about releasing GNOME Desktop version of simpleLinux, and still the size is just a half size of ordinary distro. Love it? Try it? and Use it!

As the promises will be ever-ever kept, the GNOME version is on-development. Get up-to-date from day to day smile.gif

So I assume there won't be a dwm, xmonad or scrotwm version. sad.gif tongue.gif

I still don't really understand the appeal of LXDE either. Standalone Openbox is much better, imho.

Anyways, I've started a download and will give it a test drive when I find time this weekend.

Thank you.

dun worry...the "so-called" my1os is nothing like those "No.Action.Talk.Only"... still doesn't heard any much "working products" from them laugh.gif
since it's small and simple, might use it as "recovery" stuff..

oh, just a quick question, does it support ntfs read/write natively?

I convert it using deb2lzm to any debian/ubuntu package, and rpm2lzm [not available in official releases] to convert red hat based apps. I simply extract the tgz file in slackware and just make it lzm package, for use in simpleLinux
u could try alien, its all in one converter.. but u would have to resolve the dependencies that came along with the apps..
