most people here use data packages, not prepaid internet, so no change sim

like mengsuan say, digi no shock bills, maxis -> heart attack 1st month, and sometimes 2 3 month after that, celcom dont know.

if want to use different sim card for internet, get a mifi.

at first kinda excited when looking at the map cause i thought it use google map, but it turns out, it just like other non MFM project navigation, only place i see pack is KL and SELANGOR.

and to answer your question, nope. for a better calculation you should try to ask at the digi thread, more expert there

for what i know kies look into these when checking your phone for update:

1. PHONE CURRENT FIRMWARE
2. PRODUCT CODE
3. REGISTRY ABOUT THE PHONE

if you ever play around with kies before, uninstall and install new should maybe do it. then your phone need to be in:

firmware: DXJPA
product code: XME

other than that i really dont know why.
try checking your firewall/antivirus, who know they block kies from checking the FUS server
