QUOTE(jiwa @ Jan 4 2006, 02:03 PM) He.he.he.he Well, already get used to 6* ... always like FAIR play vs UNFAIR play You'd struggle like this for a few matches before things are back to normal again. A tip to anyone: Use the 1st touch moves intelligently (but not all the time) It makes a big difference if use use/don't use it at the right moment. Even a miscontrolled ball can be turned into an advantage and wrong foot the defender. Cheers all. Yupz, I did experienced like what u said too... sometime ur team will sky rocket their performance and then sometime will go down low low till even weak team also difficult to play against with. This applies to the players too as well, not only the whole team effect all da time. But I take these as those 'time' where u'll need extra concentration and also determination to score and win in the match.. but it really generate frustration sometime |

QUOTE(alienLYN @ Jan 4 2006, 08:24 PM) i'm currently using Man Utd in Master League. Is it normal for players stamina to get really low during mid season? During mid season, there's a lot more matches (league + cups) and mostly filled up each week with 2 matches thus making ur players getting more fatigue if u keep on playing them all da time. So what I do is always rotate the players during that period and kept my eyes on their fatigue level (the bar below their stamina bar). Players like Steven Gerrard and Park Ji Sung slowly collect and quickly heal their fatigue bar, but others like Arjen Robben and Ronaldo quickly fill them up. Just rotate them with their substitutes when u see the fatigue bar filling up, unless u really need them for big matches. For that reason, the calendar is useful for u to see which big teams are on their way. Plan ur rotation by then its like all of my 1st team players usually have their stamina at half even before the match starts. Players like Rooney, Nistelrooy and esp Ronaldo. Luckily, in master league there's the mid season break... else... players all sure die of exhaustion QUOTE(alienLYN @ Jan 4 2006, 09:56 PM) That's freaking amazingly true In my league, Chelsea is really solid strong at the beginning of the season. So far lost only 2 games (including losing 1 game to me Every season... few matches before playing Chelsea, i will be winning few matches on the trot. And the climax will be againts Chelsea where i surprisingly usually trash them(happens every season) 4-0, 5-0. Then somehow like some magical curse or sumtin bestow upon me, i would like draw/lose the next few matches. Just like the Man Utd last season... shots on goal like 15-20, but cant score All their performance really up and down thus making me difficult to pick the selection each time. Ronaldo who started to degrade suddenly scored a hattrick against tough team Barca. Eto been showing poor performance but lately getting his name on the score sheet, this applies to Cisse as well. Van Persie in the other way make me feel he's like another 'Raul' to me. Slow and weak but able to hit on target sometime. He's my bet when Ronaldo and Henry retired or totally out of form. But when all of them out of form, it's even difficult to get them receive the pass |

@jiwa
Actually I had tried to search for Schwarz but if not mistaken it didnt come back with any result Yupz, as u mentioned.. certain players really fill their fatigue gauge at an extreme rate.. just like my young Arjen Robben Yaya.. sometimes I also feel weird with the GKs. At certain time they even faster lost their stamina while in the game compared to my other players |

QUOTE(jiwa @ Jan 6 2006, 09:14 AM) Schwarz and Babel are both AI generated fictional players. They are usually found in the newcomers section. What season of ML are you in. Schwarz appears after season 2, and babel 1 season after(i think). If ur in Season 5-6 these guys may have been signed by other CPU controlled teams. Argh... I'm in my 5th season now with Real Madrid Cheers. |

QUOTE(jiwa @ Jan 6 2006, 06:09 PM) Yeah, my newest round of ML, just on season 3 now. Already got 80K++ with salary only 20K/season.(5*). Yeaps... but still it's better compared to WE7 series... the player or club for sure will agree for the transfer if the offer above the player's value Yeah I guess, the game is too easy when it come to negotiations, as there and no other expeses to pay other than salaries. Iw ould rather the game allow you to hire/pay for non playing satff like cocahes and physios too. And implement things like goal/assist bonus payments to players. Right now after 5 season you're almost untouchable if you use 'matchmode'. Only way is to start ML on 5*, with default (konami) team or custom team, and set low staring WEN/PES. That way will struggle to get out of div2 for a few seasons until you build up a good team, after that, I guess it'll be the same. Cheers. Just played a few matches yesterday and oh my god Heh, guess what... in Champion League qualifying I met Babel as substitute for Ajax team *negotiation period is just 1 match away* Cheers ~ ! ! ! |

QUOTE(jiwa @ Jan 9 2006, 02:28 PM) After 8 years of playing the series, I finally scored > 1 FK in a game. That's great buddy Took the lead, 1-0 with diving header by Lamps at near post of a J.Cole corner. Conceded 2 gaols quickly after that, both thru defensive lapses and allowing CPU to get onto thru balls. 2nd half got apenalty for a trip on Torres inside the box. After that it was the J.Cole show. There's a sense of acheivement I'm feeling ,bcos converting freekicks was the only area I felt I hadn't mastered yet in the series. Cheers. Dude, u got F. Torres in ur team? How's his performance? Coz I had been thinking of dropping one of mine for him Negotiation period already over. Already sold Gravesen out. Take in Babel and also Hunt. Really dun hav Schwarz |

QUOTE(jiwa @ Feb 6 2006, 03:40 PM) Ha.ha. Now we go into advanced territory eh..!! There is a difference. The sooner you press x, the faster it dips. However dipping fast is not always the desired outcome. Sometimes an otherwise excellent freekick will be spoilt by dipping too soon. I usually delay a bit until the ball is near the wall, then press X. But either technique works. OMG~!!! I didnt went into so detailed controls before The amount of dip varies from player to player. So for some, you have to hold a long timee, and for others just 1/4 sec or so. Cheers. Frankly, I didnt know pressing 'x' after execution will hav such 'effect' QUOTE(MightyReds @ Feb 7 2006, 12:15 AM) erm...did anyone scored a direct corner here b4?...that day i played WE and try to swing one corner in from beckham..who knows it directly goes in from there.. Once in a Blue Moon QUOTE(jonjon87 @ Feb 7 2006, 12:24 AM) hahaha Jiwa can lose to his cousins.........then his cousins mai...super GENG??? Again like Jiwa said, human is no-no compareable to CPU... CPU is dead while human is alive Anyway thanks to your tips, i kinda slightly understand FK better but I can't score much actually, but at least i can score some freekicks during practise ....which is an improvement to me since i've NEVER scored from FK before. Thanks....if don't mind,share more tips la lol.... |

Okiez... restarted my game in WE but this time with WEndettaLAB2.0 patch and also WEndettaLAB2.0 Option File
Unlocked all the Under 21's teams and also 6* difficulty. Still thinking whether to unlock the legendary players as well... but it just make Master League (ML) not that fun with those players along This time around as I mentioned earlier, I started ML with Default Match Mode and selected Liverpool playing in League A with all English Premier League's teams. Liverpool's default formation with Cisse playing as CF down on the left, Crouch as CF in the centre and two SMFs Kewell and Luis Garcia at both sides. This formation didnt match my playing style which I prefered the most Started the ML at 5* difficulty and it seem a having a little bit of setback at the beginning with a draw and a lost due to formation testing as I'm switching and testing the players with different formation. Thing started to get better when a 1-0 won at the 3rd game of the Division2 (D2) league. First time experiencing with Liverpool's players, the forwards really kinda bad The 2 CFs re-located them back to the middle in front of the opponent's goal and moved Kewell up ahead from his default position playing as ST. The rest didnt change much except moving Gerrard a bit topper and Xabi Alonso a bit lower. The defenders taking rotation and Reina a pretty good GK Yet still fatigue accumulated pretty fast Hamann (CMF) ---> Arsenal for Reyes (ST) Fowler (CF) ---> Arsenal for Van Persie (ST) Warnock (SB) ---> Manchester United for Park Ji Sung (CMF) Carson (GK) ---> ????? for Marshall (GK) *dang! I'm just selecting good players which I experienced before back in previous ML Crouch been dropped from the first lineup for Van Persie partnering with Cisse. Kewell and Xabi Alonso taking rotation with Reyes and Park Ji Sung. And boo~hoo! The team overall performance increased immediately after the negotiation period bombing Thul with 6-0 won and then followed by 4-0 and 3-0 won over the other teams in D2 league That's all for this time... and I just wonder if got ppl interested to read and share theirs This post has been edited by vearn27: Feb 19 2006, 06:36 PM |

Haha... thankx to Mr. Jiwa, I also mastered the 'art of taking freekicks'
I didnt know there's a big effect taking freekicks in the way u mentioned and I kept on stick to the style which I used since WE7 Another tips I must add that is 'YOU must get the FEEL of how much power to POUR IN and when to hit the 'X' factor' |

*sigh*
Well, I'm still playing WE9 all the while but only less than usual already as pile of office's load, college's assignments and exams on all my way Just struggled over my 2nd season with Liverpool in the Division1 and finished 6th in the league (the final spot for Champions League Qualifying Again, Gerrard voted as the OVERALL BEST PLAYER AWARD for both Division1 League and also Division1 Cup. Went thru the negotiation period.. secured the service of Hunt [SB] and traded Finnan for Ashley Cole [SB]. Hm... I had been shuffling my formation for a few times to get the one that most players will get clicked with. It seem like I had 'widen' the range too big till the passes seem difficult to get it worked flawlessly. Always get intercepted or being too slow My midfields been strong with keyplayer and captain Steven Gerrard, Park Ji Sung, Xabi Alonso, Sissoko and C. Ronaldo. Luis Garcia and Kewell can be playing in the midfield too as they usually slot in for right midfielder or 'Second Top' Played first 3 matches in the Division1 League and against 2 giants; Chelsea and Manchester United. Babel scored the 2 destructive goals each in the 1st and 2nd half against Chelsea that made it 2-0 win leaving them dropped till 8th rank of the league standings. Steven Gerrard first scored in the match against the Devils but Nistelrooy cancelled it up with a brilliant header in 2nd half stoppage time and made it 1-1 draw. That's all for this time *thankx for reading |

QUOTE(alienLYN @ May 18 2006, 11:10 PM) wow... so quiet dis thread dis days I'm still playing WE9 and haven't make my move to WE10 yet anyway, im playing ML wif 6 stars and i have a darn frustrating dilemma as in why the heck is my team stamina so low aft every match?? Im now selecting C for zone press and counter attacking to compensate for my lost in stamina. thanks It's normal and I'm facing the same thing too. But glady I had a big team enough for me to rotate the players. Players need some rest too, just like how they're in reality My advise is, try to monitor ur players and their stats. Those with higher stamina tend to heal quickly and last longer (their fatigue bar hardly increase) after match. Seem like u r using Man U and u can see Rooney's stamina for example Like Steven Gerrard best if playing one match per week, that's why I'll rest him for one of those matches when there're two in a week. Unless... it's inevitable that I need him to be in the lineup. Else I'll try with other player and then only subs him into the team whenever somehow reached 60~70th minute and not at the wining stake yet. U r also playing as the manager, so think wise and take gamble! QUOTE(Notoriez @ May 19 2006, 12:24 AM) Guys, I'm playing PS2 version... for grounder freekick, hold 'DOWN' while pressing the 'LONG PASS' instead of 'SHOOT' I've been playing WE9 since long time (PC version) but im still wondering how to do grounder free kicks...can any1 teach me |
