the fastest stretch of the road, u will have to brake down for 2 corners...just cut thru it and straight onto the exit of 2nd corner...

just note your max speed on the circuit and set ur trans to that limit, try practice mode and adjust accordingly first.

CRZ is damn easy bro.I overtake the 1st place AI with 1 lap to go.

BTW, Seasonal Events really help me to level-up faster. Before my HDD crash, by the time I'm at level 23, I have finish all races in A-Spec except level 24 & above races. Also finish all the license test & 70% of Special Events.

But with Seasonal Events, I already at level 22 now.(just last week I have to start all over again). Not played any single race in Extreme yet. Beginner 2 races left, Amateur 2 races left, Pro 2 left, Expert just played first 4 races. License IC & only 15% of Special Events. Thanks PD! thumbup.gif

I prefer G27. The former one is too expensive! I can use the extra cash to buy racing cockpit to fit the G27!

CRZ is quite easy. Overtake the front car by lap 3 and stay there

I rahter have a good steering. Most of the racing cockpit out there is based upon formula cars, where you are sitting lower on the ground. But most of the racing games are not about Formula cars. Thus why I prefer my table and PC chair

New cookie setting is f***ing up the board

well if it's easy for you guys then what settings do you use? I use DFGT and used manual trans, stock car. best I could manage was 4th place. Just few questions :

1. How often do you shift gears for cornering? Do you just follow the recommended gear numbers (the ones that flash red as you make your turn) , or tend to use higher gears than the recommended ones?

2. Your rev numbers, I noticed in Evohahn's replay it tends to be really tight from redline to 5k RPM as he negotiates turns. I noticed my RPM as I turn tend to drop to 4K, but I will downshift to make the RPM go up when that happens. Is this the right way to drive?

Just so frustrated that I tried so many times to do it but just can't quite pull off a podium spot. Any good links to learn to drive better? I tried looking at youtube but can't find any good tutorials.

1. Yes, but you also listen to the engine revs as you downshift. The best way is to downshift quickly, and then slow for the last gear. That way the rear will be more stable going into the corner. Also there are some corners that you just use your own judgement to take. There is a quick left and right kink at Tokyo 46 which I usually don't follow the recommended gear and just let go of the throttle and then slam it again.

2. No comment on that. Evo is an alien

Btw CRZ has a boost that only last for the first 3 laps IIRC. thus why you need to catch up before it finishes. My laptime drops dramatically on lap 4 and 5

Those who need tuning settings for the seasonal events, give yourself a few minutes and take a look at this guy's youtube page:

http://www.youtube.com/prelude326

His settings will most guarantee you 2nd place on your first try, or even 1st, well, at least for me.

slicks, I'm using my right foot for throttle and braking - This is a great disadvantage against people who use left foot braking technique, because they can trail brake into a corner. So what i did is, tap on the brake, downshift and while negotiating the corner i tap the throttle lightly to keep my rpm high.
