I owned a550 + kit lens only.

should I invest on 50mm f1.8 or flash?

what flash do you guy recommend? sony / 3rd party?

why have to press the lens release?

just back from self poisoning session sending my camera to service and repair at sony style curve.

before that i tried to mount my flash gun and tamron 17-50 on the a55. OMG ITS SOOOOOOOOOOOOO LIGHTTTTTTTTT~~   not forgetting that the 18-55mm is also hanging off the body of the a55.

all these add together i still can hold the camera with one hand for 10 minutes without any strain at all!

i may agree that this combo is ugly but the weightage distribution is very very nice and very well balanced.

AF on the a55 was very very good as well. omg~~~

A77 confirmed on March 2011 hehe

I have this question for some time...

People often critics(probably they just curious) about Sony Alpha Cameras...

When you asked any Canon or Nikon users they will probably have negative idea's for Sony's products..not because they grasp the differences but seems they never understand the detail from Sony products...

they just have bad view-point for it although they never experience one before

I clearly know Sony Alpha are practically/Mostly Entry-level DSLR's, And i know their "Like.No.Other" motto make them create something that purposely 'differ' from other competitors....

I need some Pro comments for this situation and some clues why such attitude or should i say...their disgust towards sony

YEAH.... i wanted to ask the same question....tis happen to me, i was requested to be a 2nd photographer for a wedding event. so asked me wat camera i use, told them sony a550. so the Nikon user told me go for pro camera like nikon y use sony...its a TV brand...

that enggang not fly² like that.. so can go near..

yup it has a nice grip.. thinking if put heavy lens and flash and maybe a battery grip..

A33-A55 is abit small to attach the flash..

CES is on thursday morning! hope sony will give us a good surprise with the a77 and new lenses!

It's my sharpest lens to date, which tells a lot for a 2nd hand lens. I've been using it as my primary lens if I want a really sharp picture without bokeh. My lens of choice during PC fair girls stalking

55-200 can get confused in low light condition

between the 55-200 and 75-300, which is the better lens in terms of IQ, sharpness etc?

zstan: funny thing, after i open up my lens, dunno what i touch, buy my tamron now is so much more silent then previously... lol

oh i'm sure i would have some use for it. i had a panny lumix dmc fz-28 with 18x zoom (equiv to about 27-486mm) and it was pretty handy for "spy shots". i like to cover all bases. both 17-70 and 55-200 should cover all bases. u'll never know...i might bump into a JAV actress or something.

not sure leh, its a hardware issue, i think mac also like that, maybe i go try mac at macshop tomolo... but i dount i would like mac lor... i cant play my FO:new vegas.

i dont stack my project, but then each project does have over 300-500 pictures (wedding ma). dunno... maybe i too used to my old way of workflow using old software where it display 100% details photo in less then 1 sec, so i can scroll up down to compare with less then 1 sec, vs Lr which require more then 1 sec to compare/to change the photo. but then Lr has rating feature vs my old old software la...

or maybe its just me, maybe i am on the fastest track, coz i dont have other people to compare to. but my old c2d laptop is really really really slow la. but photoshop is fine.

after watching so many video of julienne, and other tutorial, yea, my pc is notice-able faster then theirs.... so, i think the 'slow-ness/lag' i notice is part of the way the program works? or the software is too advance beyond our current tech today? so i shouldnt complain for now....

offtopic: chiahau: sell everything covert to caps lor, i upskill my barter first, useful. for ammo, break down everything and make the ones u need. sell off heavier armor, useless coz u been eating constantly, u over heal urself all the time.
