i really not sure how to suggest.. because with ur bugdet maybe 2/3 series are the best bet..
for ur info <2 series no live view.. if ur new with dlsr.. maybe live view will help u later for certain angle of view..

actually shots above taken by using the live view..
i saw in garage sales.. new A390 can get around rm1.5k..

try also looking for 2nd hand camera.. and see whether the model below suit ur need..

A300/A350
A330/A380/A390

if u really can fork out more.. 5series sure is nicer..
but u need the lens also.. that kind of price cannot get the lens i guess..

earlier batch should from japan..
even mine from thailand lol.. cut cost maybe..

for panning which AF setting is suitable?

oho.. later got time will try back la.. the 55-200mm is slow to do panning..
what shutter eh? coz most of the time.. soft and blurred.. pengsan to catch..

like ok jor.. got filter or not?
coz last time i ask at KLPF 1.4k.. filter also need to topup..

it is advisable to use manual focusing if u doing a macro shot..
to focus u just move forward or backward a little..

last lalat² shot i'm using 55-200 with raynox..
