QUOTE(Newbieeeeee @ Jan 9 2011, 09:20 AM) #1 should use slow shutter to slow the water rather than to freeze it? i don't want capture the water.. that water sprinkle not nice btw.. i found it distracting.. ![]() This post has been edited by 8tvt: Jan 9 2011, 09:39 AM |

QUOTE(hiansitt @ Jan 9 2011, 10:03 AM) @Newbieeeeee yes tq it's quite symmetrical too..sometime, some people prefer to freeze the water, the feel will different, just like the waterfall, everything come from there have a silky look, for me, quite bored.. and i think that situation, unless pair it with ND, or else it quite impossible to get slow shutter @8tvt nice balance compo.. yesterday i learn about the perfect timing.. for capturing such moment.. if the sunlight too bright.. got problem with metering and tend to overexposed and underexposed.. if for normal daylight.. 3-6PM is suitable.. so after playing with lines - vertical and horizontal.. metering.. ambient light etc.. now can compose the nature beauty.. no need to bother about aperture.. shutter.. anymore.. hopefully can learn more.. |

today i went to sony style and tried the Sony 35mm..
not test much.. just compare the angle of view.. still not in my liking though the F1.8 give better bokeh.. if for bokeh.. maybe i just go for my 50mm or tele.. here i took the pic in 1m distance.. ![]() |

QUOTE(jimlim007 @ Jan 9 2011, 07:36 PM) i just cant get the ideal, why 50mm have biggest look? that focal length measured from the lens to the camera sensors.. optically it's work like that..if 28mm have wide angle and make thing small, then if use tele lens like 100mm or 135mm for portrait shoot, we need to stand far, if stand far then the object will be small too rite?... then how ppl shoot photo with 75-80% is cover by a half body + face...? longer focal length will make the angle of view tighter.. from the same distance.. if using tele lens for portrait.. yup need to step back to have the same angle of view.. but u can get better bokeh.. beside playing with larger aperture lens or distance.. or even the FF camera (bigger sensor)... |

QUOTE(razuryza @ Jan 10 2011, 11:27 PM) QUOTE(zstan @ Jan 10 2011, 11:29 PM) This has nothing to do with the shutter speed. Use a small aperture f8-f22. Then can get Liao. i asked about shutter to estimate the duration..as i'm not always bring the tripod.. for sure for small aperture need to compensate with the exposure time.. |
