QUOTE(takercena @ Dec 18 2010, 12:50 AM) I am going for Limited Bandwidth. However 60GB is too small for me maybe the bandwidth limit should follow the HDD size like 120gb, 320gb, 500gb. |

QUOTE(khtan2000 @ Dec 18 2010, 01:15 AM) yes thats why put a bandwidth cap on heavy users, once exceeded throttle to 128k..enough for surfing etc but not enough for downloading. Probably different speed package will have difference bandwidth limit else those subscribing higher packages will complaint on the same limit imposed across all speed packages. i'm paying RM66 for 512/128. my upload speed looks pathetic Just tell us the real clarification on the each package bandwidth limit and we will manage it ourselves. Right now TM is doing the easy way, just cap everyone regardless light or heavy and don't even need to setup bandwidth monitoring for every user. +streamline all the pricing on the package, right now we got different price for the same speed. Im still paying rm88 since 2004 until now and still on 1mbps |

QUOTE(mylinear @ Dec 18 2010, 01:28 AM) Sure enough, it was already said before... normally after this sort of meeting with some users, something like this will happen, and it has. they invite them thru twitter.. It really seems that TM is using these user group meetings to do their dirty work for them. They let some users go and spread the news and get feedback. Seriously, a large company like TM can't do this sort of survey or pass on news by themselves?? |

i don't this is a good idea doing the survey here, maybe the star poll would be a better platform. we need all the voices of streamyx users in Malaysia to cast their votes. nobody should be left out.

QUOTE(mylinear @ Dec 18 2010, 02:02 AM) andrew9292, did you attend the meeting? one of our mod/staff was there.Maybe before it was 10% Streamyx heavy users affecting 90% Streamyx other users, but now maybe it is 90% Unifi users affecting all Streamyx users... I agree that getting user feedback is a good way, but not like this. First of all, how many Streamyx users will read this thread and participate out of all the total users? Come on, TM has the list of all its users. A web page set up for a survey by them or an email sent out to all the users is the way. They cannot do that?? I still say they are just using users to get to other users. |

QUOTE(raydeness @ Dec 18 2010, 10:19 AM) I favor Limited Bandwidth and line is throttled (80% maybe) when quota is hit. please downgrade to 384 package, you don't need 1 Mbps streamyx package.since I'm using a 1 Mbps streamyx package, a 30GB(not a heavy user here, sorry) quota should be sufficient. Also a sensible reduction of the package price to RM 60 per month instead of the current RM 110 (combo) in line with the broadband penetration initiative. I don't mind if the tax reduction on broadband is removed as a result of this price reduction. |

see this pdf from skmm, quota for all wired package is unlimited.
http://www.skmm.gov.my/link_file/what_we_d...10_Q2_Wired.pdf *when i voted "NO", I am expecting them to revert back to pre-2010 policy, not the current or a modified version. This post has been edited by birain: Dec 20 2010, 01:43 AM |

bandwidth hoggers
1% of the selfish users (those who using BolehVPN or some other VPN service) are utilizing 20% of the available international bandwidth. TM are blind-folded by the VPN users because they can’t actually find out what the users are doing with their international bandwidth. This does not only allows them to ‘fully’ utilize all the resources available, it also caused tremendous traffic congestion for the rest of the 99%. There will be information about the bandwidth usage on the bill by Q2 2011. Once Fair Usage Policy (FUP) has made into the final decision stage, all the customers that have signed a 1 or 2 year contract will be informed before the launching. TM has currently not yet forwarded any RIAA or RIM copyright infringement letters to their subscribers, but will consider to do it in view of the upcoming Government Legislation – the ISP Liability Act. |

QUOTE(guardioo @ Dec 20 2010, 10:10 AM) Well, on a side note, terms and condition should not change without notice. back in 2003,the terms are different. today, they just copy and paste as they like without consulting the end-user first. We sign the package bcoz terms and conditions it stated unlimited, and it change to isp allowed to change t&c time to time Added on December 20, 2010, 11:03 am QUOTE(sg999 @ Dec 20 2010, 10:59 AM) +1 i wonder whether our local content "tonton" is streaming smoothly or not then better downgrade all package to 512/256 price standard RM50/month can save bandwith or roll out FIBER to nationwide so those copper problem can resolved use fiber for 512/256 speed Added on December 20, 2010, 11:00 am access to youtube HD video counted in?
