Well technically, 4mbps users can get speed like 512kbps user most of the time, which is UFUP. (unfair FUP).

And therefore, why they introduced 4mbps package at first place?

yes thats why put a bandwidth cap on heavy users, once exceeded throttle to 128k..enough for surfing etc but not enough for downloading. Probably different speed package will have difference bandwidth limit else those subscribing higher packages will complaint on the same limit imposed across all speed packages.

Just tell us the real clarification on the each package bandwidth limit and we will manage it ourselves.
Right now TM is doing the easy way, just cap everyone regardless light or heavy and don't even need to setup bandwidth monitoring for every user.

Im still paying rm88 since 2004 until now and still on 1mbps , not entitled to coolunipack or 1malaysia package-reason not a uni student and living in places where house >30k RM - yeah, tmnut staff told me that 1malaysia only for those living below 30K houses.

Sure enough, it was already said before...  normally after this sort of meeting with some users, something like this will happen, and it has.

It really seems that TM is using these user group meetings to do their dirty work for them. They let some users go and spread the news and get feedback. Seriously, a large company like TM can't do this sort of survey or pass on news by themselves??

Maybe before it was 10% Streamyx heavy users affecting 90% Streamyx other users, but now maybe it is 90% Unifi users affecting all Streamyx users...
I agree that getting user feedback is a good way, but not like this. First of all, how many Streamyx users will read this thread and participate out of all the total users? Come on, TM has the list of all its users. A web page set up for a survey by them or an email sent out to all the users is the way. They cannot do that?? I still say they are just using users to get to other users.

I favor Limited Bandwidth and line is throttled (80% maybe) when quota is hit.

since I'm using a 1 Mbps streamyx package, a 30GB(not a heavy user here, sorry) quota should be sufficient. Also a sensible reduction of the package price to RM 60 per month instead of the current RM 110 (combo) in line with the broadband penetration initiative. I don't mind if the tax reduction on broadband is removed as a result of this price reduction.

limit international bandwidth = no way
limit local bandwidth = ok

I got some friends who is on streamyx 1mbps but his download is 24/7 at 120k/s 365days a week.

Maybe the same fellow from Streamyx consuming 1TB has moved to Unifi and now consuming 3TB...??

Well, on a side note, terms and condition should not change without notice.

We sign the package bcoz terms and conditions it stated unlimited, and it change to isp allowed to change t&c time to time

can save bandwith
or roll out FIBER to nationwide
so those copper problem can resolved
use fiber for 512/256 speed
