I can't believe some people here are willing to pay RM2 / gb. Ridiculous. Good, make TM richer than they already are. People are still willing to put $ into con artist pockets.

I still say we do not need to go into such details. Manage the hoggers and the bandwidth first without having to make any changes to everyone else. If that solves things, then nobody needs to pay more etc. Hoggers won't be happy though, but as I have said in a previous post, they are not going to be happy one way or another whichever method. Except if everything stays absolutely as it is, which I do not think its going to.

So again I think go deal with the highest hoggers first and contain them. Leave the rest of users alone.

The question is i paid for package for 4mbit and nowhere in the agreement said I cannot use 4mbit if its available to me and nowhere in the agreement said I have to share what bandwidth and with who. So you still win unless they showed it to that this 100 other users using the same line that you are using. Remember that the 4mbit you get is between your modem to the switch, not what happen after the switch.

Whether it is from you to the switch or not, it is still a a shared broadband resource, not dedicated. That is my point. I didn't go look at the TOS etc again, but just from their FAQ:

In TM internet world, you can go as fast as what you subscribed but we will pull the brake for you if you going to destination not approved by us. Else whats the point of asking us to run a speedometer test if CR is 1:25 cause as long as you hit 40kbps then TM can sapu tangan said hey, my faq say you can get 40k minimum.
*
The CR does not mean you will get 40K. It means that it should be the worst case scenario if so happens all 25 users get online and fully utilize the connection at one time. It often does not happen that way though. That's why when you do a speed test, it is likely you will get the 1Mbps results (locally) most of the time when there is no such max usage going on.

See at Q41

Unlimited means that there is no time capping for user to access to the Internet and it does not mean that user can download/upload an unlimited volume of data.
*
That has been there for a long time. It has been brought up before in other threads discussing unlimited. It has been pointed out before but most users don't want to understand it as it would mean that they feel that they are losing a concept which they never really had in their hand anyway.

The way people are posting in this thread gives me the chills... TMNUTs brainwashing tactics is succeeding by the looks of it...

More and more comments about accepting VB charging and accepting that the value of a GB is Rm 2... Brrrrrrrrr... please wake me up from this impending nightmare.. please.....
*
That's why I keep saying that we should not be discussing CR or VB etc. Focus and manage the problem at hand. If it is the hoggers, deal with them, leave the rest alone. There may not even be any necessity for any changes. Similarly with the 25GB definition. Everyone knows that is unrealistic to be considered as a heavy user.

You are so damn smart you should work for them. Why haven't they asked you? or Why haven't you applied? Or since you're so damn smart, why don't you define hoggers? They defined it as 25GB up. What's your definition? And wait genius, why haven't they thought of it before? BING. They have something in mind! BING. Unifi? No I don't know what they are doing, but judging the patterns from the day they started, I have only seen bad service, no new companies growing, bad policies and more spending from us.

biatche, you always seem to have a problem with my posts? Are you not broad minded enough to se that different people can have different opinions? You do not have to be so condacending, just state your own opinions.

Go read my previous posts carefully if you are interested. I am one of those who have already said that TM has probably got a hidden agenda. Its not only you who thinks so. I am only trying for now to show that we are all discussing about CR, VB etc when there is no need to if possible. Thats why I said this survey is wrong in the first place. If TM is supposedly wanting our feedback, then we should just vote Yes or No. Then majority of us would vote No.

It is not me, but others who have been talking about VB and the amount of volume and how much to pay per GB etc. I am merely trying to point out that IMO that is the wrong direction.

They did not define hoggers as 25GB. They said 25GB is heavy users. I think hoggers are extremely heavy users which can go up to 1TB. Read carefully what I have said. I just said start from the highest. I did not say put a mark at a certain level and call them and above as hoggers.

I am sorry if my explanations are not clear enough for you. You are most welcome to ignore my posts.

So MX510, after about 7 months this thread was started, what exactly was the outcome in the end? If they are going ahead implementing some sort of FUP, which one are they doing? How come there is no news or feedback about this to the users?
