I had a Joven instant water heater before. Used for many years in my hostel before going kaput. Replaced it 3 years ago with another Joven with pump. My mom has been using Alpha with pump for many years. My overall impression is that Joven kinda feel more solid, especially the old model. But overall, these instant water heater performance will deteriorate over time especially when lime accumulates inside the water heater narrow pipes. Water pressure will deteriorate over time.

QUOTE(ozak @ Dec 24 2011, 08:08 AM) Solar heater no use electricity? It does not require electricity to function, although there is a back up built in heater that uses electricity (only if you switch it on) in case malaysia suddenly has no sunlight for more than 4 days.

QUOTE(ozak @ Dec 24 2011, 06:36 PM) It still dangerous as long as it require electric. Unless totally free from electric. And this heater backup got safety elcb like instant heater or not? Aiyo like that, you just cut off the wayar lor. Still can function.
