This thread has been requested before when I did the screenshots for my EU3 playthroughs. Since there isn't any other thread for all of Paradox's games, I've decided to open this thread so anyone can share their stories and experiences for any Paradox games. yes I'll tolerate different games in this one thread. Hearts of Iron, Victoria 2, EU3, just about any of Paradox's own game. EU3 just got an expansion called Divine Wind. i'm currently playing through it right now. So expect some information about that trickling through. I plan to have a go at Victoria II later and have a look back at HoI3 with the Semper Fi expansion.

I'll post some nice trailers soon. If you have any questions or things to share, just spill it out.





I'll be using this thread for future Paradox games as well.

Added on December 15, 2010, 8:22 pmThe old shogun is broken. However I can't do anything since all the Daimyos have very low prestige. It requires prestige to convince the Emperor to declare me as Kampaku(which is the first step to being Shogun). So I'll find ways to improve my prestige and from there, I'll see what I can do.

I am not really the kind to take screenshots and do AAR but I may try to do it next time I fire up Hearts of Iron3, I had a great game recently as Italy and I think I want to restart it now I have Semper Fi and some mods.
That will have to wait until mid-January at earliest though since I am away from computer for about a month for Xmas.

I admit with lots of shame I havent spend much time on EU3 yet after buying the whole bundle (excpt DW) a while back
Interesting to get some feedbacks from the game though

But Paradox games are my crack and would be nice to spread the word about this type to others on the forum

EU3 is really good. I find it surprising that Hearts Of Iron is almost as popular or is a better seller. I mean EU is the game that started it for them. You should really give it a try. And they really need a new ultimate bundle or something.

Been playing Divine Wind quite a bit. I think I have an idea of what to think of it. Overall as per Paradox titles, it further improves on the game. Will post screenshots of some game I had later when I'm free.

Sales for Victoria 1/2 complete. Weird pricing tho. They actually add up the discounted price. The savings is just 0.01 for whole package. Might as well buy it individually.

I might get Vic 2, no point getting Vic 1.

i bought EU3 during the Steam Sales few days ago, and man i love this game. Playing as France and now having the third war against England. The first war went on for 15 years while the 2nd, less than 10 years.i think about 5. i wonder how long will this war last.

Definitely Hearts of Iron better because of the intensity of the battles.

A couple of things announced.



A new expansion pack for Hearts of Iron III called For The Motherland, improved political system, not much else is known.

A new Hearts of Iron card game(digital). And will be free to play.


Will update, if new info comes up.

More HoI3 is always a good thing for me, hopefully there are some good stuff into that addon!
More events/units/techs and additional mechanisms would be neat

I may start up my HOI3 Italian AAR in a couple of weeks, will be moving to a new house soon and will have more time there

Guys EU3 complete is now only 4 bucks. And Heir to The Throne is 2 bucks. Divine Wind is now available on Steam.

Ouch.. there goes my $6

so is the heir of the throne worth it?i already got my complete pack last sales...

just bought EU3 complete and Httt from steam
installed and when i enter the game, i saw the title 'Heir to the throne' at main menu. So where is my In Nomine and Napoleon Ambition? already included huh?

OMG for 2 bucks? Of course it is worth it. In fact it is worth even more than that.

Sigh, bought this today, the game keeps crashing. The crashes seem to be random, after a while will crash. Wasted few hour of game time because of this.

haha frags..i know the price is really cheap(btw i bought d exp pack without waiting for any reply.kinda defeat the purpose of the question) but what so great about the exp pack..but i tried juz nw n yea, it makes the game better nw..more depth. now i want my divine wind

same problem here. The game crashed several times. I went to validate game files. I did it twice until no more updating and now the game runs fine.

Check your codecs. Do you have klite codec pack?
