Same, i bought the new MBA 11" to replace the iPad. THe MBA offer me so much more and in terms of portability quite similar as ipad. At least I can get serious work done on the MBA and not the ipad. I don't play games so will not miss it.
I also bought the Samsung Galaxy Tab also as a replacement too for the ipad as what I wish to do on the ipad the TAB could do and much better and offer more versatility. It is also very portable - easily slip inside my long panks pocket and 3/4 shorts
So my portable needs now is about 80 % on Tab and 20 % on the MBA

Of course buy from Apple authorized reseller unless the 3rd party guy can give you special price discounts. Personally I find the discount is not worth the trouble simply when comes to warranty they cannot handle it - the best they can do is to send in for you to the authorized service center
If you have intention to get from LowYat might as well buy from authorized sellers there or just go over to Lot 10 Machines or 10 mins further to Pavilion Epic

Some guys like to buy from LowYat because apps are supplied FOC - of course you know what type of apps you get-lah !! So if your new ipad suddenly freezes or hang for no reason than you know why.

I have a friend who bought it RM 100 cheaper plus free apps. MY !! was he happy than . I just ask him is it new set ; he said is new cos the seller guarantee it is. Than I ask him - did you see it is as a sealed unopen set ? NO was his answer. He said seller show him a sealed set. Than I ask him did you take down serial number. NO was his reply.
He said the seller ask him come back in half an hour to get it cos he need time to install the free apps - so you can guess how " new" it is.
A week later his ipad freeze and he no choice but to factory reset and thus lose all his " free apps".
So beware when you buy from 3rd party sellers especially if he offer you cheaper plus freebies apps

About 8 months later in Malaysia for first ipad

Logically it will still be on sale in retail stores as long as there are stocks but not in online apple store. There is no more production of ipad1.

iPhone 4 was launch in USA on Jun 2010 . It was available in Malaysia only in Sept 2010

ipad was actually launch in USA on March 2010. It was available in Malaysia end Nov 2010

If it is open box set and already activated , ie you can see the apps etc - it is already activated . the warranty starts from the day it is activated. Be careful when buying open box set. Sometimes the seller factory reset it back and you think is not activated before - the best way to check actually warranty expiry date is to check it up at this website : just key in serial number

It is digi probably with plans for iphone 4 as celcom will be offering it soon with very much cheaper prices than digi and maxis.

You use itunes to transfer files.
At itunes window scroll down select the appropriate app and select add files
do readup on features and how to use itunes with your ipad

If you wish to have a good viewing experience it is still best to convert to apple format. Just use handbrake a free software to convert
