Normal usage like surfing, fb and twitter will not consume much. When you use it for video streaming, downloading and tethering then your data usage could skyrocket..

Hey guys,

Urgent help needed...

I bought a new Galaxy S a month ago and I experience the lag and normally only a reboot could solve it. Then Froyo came by in Kies, and after the update it was still laggy. So i revolved to rooting with SuperOneClick and applying OCLF lagfix... It was running fine until after a week or two, the phone started to experience serious lags in the homescreen, the app screen and various force closes from apps.

Then i tried formatting the phone in recovery, i did a recovery and data wipe but only after that i realized that i forgot to unroot and clear the lagfix, but even then i had no problems until this morning the phone was lag again.

Assuming that it was the root and the lagfix that i forgot to undo, i tot of trying to flash my phone with Odin using the firmware i got from samfirmware.com

Downloaded I9000DXJPA from samfirmware and used Odin 1.3 to flash my phone, there wasnt any problems with the flash and Odin reported it being successful, but my phone only boots up to the Galaxy S GT-I9000 screen, not even booting to the 'S' screen. Waited for quite a long time then i tried booting into recovery but no luck, recovery doesnt work, but download mode works for me.... I tried flashing a few times and still no luck, changed to Odin 1.7 and tried flashing several times as well...

Please someone give me some advice or help me.... Please~

Hey people.

I noticed Doc's JPU Samsung App store has 17 updates at first boot compared to 6 from Darky's?

Is there a way to get these apps if I am on Darky's?

Btw, I am on Doc's now, love that Goal.com widget rclxms.gif

i modded mine tongue.gif

1. Go to http://circle.glx.nl/
2. Choose your battery MOD (only battery mod, not tested with other stuff)
3. Upload your framework-res.apk (do not rename)
4. The kitchen will give you a zip. Download it and open with 7zip (use only 7zip, and don't extract, just open)
5. Double click framework folder, then double click framework-res.apk (all this from inside 7zip)
6. Now right click your original framework-res.apk (which you uploaded to the site) -> 7zip -> Open with 7zip
7. Now you should have 2 7zip windows open, just drag the "META-INF" folder and the "AndroidManifest.xml" file from the original framework-res.apk, to the modded one.
8. That's it.. Now just close both 7zip windows.. The modded one will ask you if you want to update the framework-res.apk file in the zip, choose yes. Now you can flash this zip via CWM

the dxjpa firmware from samfirmware is not working (tested by me)

why not you try the newest xxjpu? 99% lag-free (it's smoother in darky's rom tho, didnt test doc's)

if youre interested in stock jpu, you may try this first

http://www.multiupload.com/PUSOOBQ8K5 password for extracting: samfirmware.com

in odin, just place the

.512 pit file to 'PIT',
modem to 'PHONE',
pda to 'PDA'
and csc to 'CSC'

TICK repartition and start the process in download mode

try out the stock first, see if you're satisfied with it!

if you needa your phone to be rooted, download this http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment...03&d=1291835823

flash this in 'pda' odin after flashing tht jpu.. DISABLE repartition this time
