hi guys... i regret to tell u that the new 3D KDL-40NX710 bundle is without FREE 5 years extended warranty... it comes default with 2 years only.

I am still in the midst of negotiating with supplier to give that for FOC.

tentatively the package is without 5 years extended warranty.

last year, the same model was retailed at RM10000. Not so in this year though.

This time around, it is still a steal bcoz you'll get extra items worth more than the extra RM556 you have to pay for this bundle compared with the previous one.

Hologram code is normally stick on the TV box / Home theatre box ... it's a sticker with the RM3500 Double cash back logo and a place for u to scratch for 10 alphanumeric code.
the code need to match the TV serial number... hence u cannot use code that dont belong the the tv.

Added on January 6, 2011, 2:12 pmcall Sony tollfree customer interaction centre at 1300-88-1233 if u still having problem... they will assist u.
i had a few problems with that on of my own.

btw they only operate during office hours.

Dear Aaronwee and mates, I got it from Sony Center SS2, my regular place for the past 20 years. The story is like this, I went in wanting to get just a LED TV model EX710 for RM4500. However being such great patrons, the bosses offered me a 3D TV for the same price. I said are you sure. Reason being Sony has directed them to sell this NX710 3D TV to be watched as a 2D LED TV. Yes, I had doubts at first whether they're selling me a display set. To gain my confidence, they showed me the delivery order from Sony which was just a day earlier. One of them contained the serial numbers to my new TV. Happy with exactly just what I wanted, 3D TV NX710 with bunchin stand, BDP 370 Bluray player comes free which doesn't bother me, got the best HDMI cable for rm60 and topup rm320 for risk free 5 year warranty ; reached for the cheque book and it was delivered within hours, set-up in my house free of charge and rest assured it was all brand new from the box.

Review : This TV is superb. Special mention to the bunchin stand and the 2.1 speakers in it. The only thing that has put me down is the Bluray player's incompatibility with USB external hard disk with the format NTFS or Mac format. It only plays FAT32, rendering it useless for MKV files larger than 4GB, which FAT32 doesn't support. I tried splitting MKV files for instance Avatar (10GB) into smaller parts, but it results in audio not playable. Really a big blow as I've got quite a good collection of Bluray movies downloaded from my uni's internal network while I was overseas.

In short, I'd recommend this SS2 dealer, as it is a bulk purchase Sony authorised dealer for many years, offering unbeatable prices. I remembered back in those days I bought a Walkman from them below market price.

Having said that, Aaron Wee's package looks remarkable and impressive if you really need the PS3 & 3D extras. Great job smile.gif

P/S: IMHO the price u got for ur tv package is just reasonable ok ok pricing... i could have beaten that easily if i sell off all the other items [& make a bigger profit] ... but i am doing my part to promote 3D gaming and 3D movies here!
i think it's an experience worth owning now [be one of the 1st in the planet to own 3D!] and furthermore we can easily entertain our relatives [when they visit] during CNY [that is if u r not going back hometown like me la] brows.gif

hi aaron want to ask you.. i have a bdv e370.. mine can play dvds no problem.. did not try bluray cd yet.. but i have 3d bluray cd.. when i put in 3d bluray cd.. my screen turn green and my player hang.. do you know whats the problem?

edit: thanks.. found out that i have to get the latest firmware and set the resolution to Auto instead of 1080p ty

i am very ticked off with Sony myself... they hutang me a few sets

1) i've made all ur PWP purchase on 31 Jan 2011
2) called sony last month, they said by end of the month [FEBRUARY] will sent
2) called sony 1300881233 again yesterday to follow-up... they said children 3d glasses still out of stock hence withhold the whole package to be sent
3) i asked sony so when do they expect the restock... they said end of this month... i was like WHAT!!!!

today [NOW] i am gonna call them again to see if they can help send the remaining stuffs first since it's their FAULT!... and they promised 7 working days for delivery. i will do this for everyone who bought from me.

so so sorry for the delay... i am really disappointed with sony this round shakehead.gif

Just finished conversation with my contact in Sony CIC... she will help me check and chase after the logistic/stock/whoever who can help ... for all the ppl who bought thru me.

However price is slightly higher @ RM7500 but imo it's still super worth it!
