My logic is that if semi-syn oil they ask you to go up to 10k and of course the filter can last also, unless every 5k is a must to go change oil filter and not engine oil

well I mean I just go to a normal mechanic that used to service my waja which I know them very well, ask them to change engine oil and oil filter only, not asking them to do any tuning, reseting or anything for that matter. It should not void any warranty with the car. Only selected SC can service inspira because they need proper training and understanding of the car and also to reset the service interval reminder and use a program to fine tune or detect any issues with your car.
QUOTE(sukhoi @ Jan 7 2011, 02:19 PM) Since i m already service using syntium 800, i will not send my car to normal mechanic and taking higher risk lost of waranty claim. Before services, i have asked some SC dealer not edar main one.. they dont dare to touch inspira since they not yet has certificated for inspira. For time being.. i will follow what proton recommeded since i think they know what are they recommeded. |

If you change your oil outside you dont need to inform SC, unless you want them to void your warranty for nothing, changing engine oil is part and parcel of a mechanic's daily job anyway, its easy as releasing the oil and topping up with same new oil, as long as you use the same & new branded oil and oil filter to avoid any complications later should be nothing noticeable later. I will still go back to my good old mechanic for this small job. If you worry about different brand of oil filter, buy another spare oil filter at the SC during the 1k service and when the times comes for 5k interval, bring together with the engine oil to change, you can be sure all is original and have nothing to worry about.

Well, at SC everything goes by the book, most likely non-negotiable be it for the price of labor or parts. For me I am a regular at my local mechanic shop, I get some discounts and I would say its pretty reasonable when I compare the prices outside and I am always happy with their attitude & workmanship plus its done without much needing to wait hours like in SC. Most importantly I know the mechanics personally and I can specify who to attend to my car, whereas in SC it could be anyone. No doubt Inspira is a different breed, so always play safe to be servicing at SC especially with free service and parts promo also their expertise on the new car too. So changing engine oil and filter can always be done outside SC if you have someone you can trust - because I dont want to waste the syntium 800 given and dont want to take risk of servicing it at 10000km interval instead of 5000km.
QUOTE(apache_utara @ Jan 7 2011, 05:32 PM) I think i saw somewhere in the car , got the free service voucher that usually we get after buying the car, the free labor voucher la This post has been edited by SothysSaleShop: Jan 7 2011, 05:46 PMwell, at least only pay for the stuffs for the 5000km service all in all, how much expected to pay there for everything as compared to SC? just curious with numbers |

Just installed HID on my headlamp and foglights
Before Installatioin ![]() After Installation ![]() For those who are worried about glaring, dont worry, our original headlamp with HID is not glaring with proper cut off line where you can see it even with our halogen bulb, except the foglamp, its little glaring when I took the photo at so low level but not very bad because its situated very low. |

Both mine is 4300k, I got both headlamp lo beam and foglamp for RM350 including installation by Eric AT MY HOUSE, what more can I ask for, I just experienced the HID tonite and its a huge improvement over halogen, not glaring to other users but brighten the road significantly. No regrets buying from him, excellent service. In case you need the supplier thread, there you go: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1625308&hl=

Yeah agree about driving skills and being safe, its just personal preference as I prefer to have a clearer view of the road ahead with the help of HID, we are not living in Singapore where the roads are PROPERLY lit (singaporean drive with high beam at our highways says alot of our roads lighting skills), over here, we have alot of dark spots even in PJ or KL,

Used to be a mech engineer for a few years back, now doing own business. So surprised to see how outdated the things we need to design. Old school.
I think we better stop OT here... Back to racun racun items again.... QUOTE(apache_utara @ Jan 9 2011, 01:07 AM) manual not yet out.. but can custome make la.. If you take care of your ride, maintaining & pamper it, it will last a long time, regardless if you drive a merc or bmw, if you trash it and leave it under the sun and dont wash it, within 1 year it will look like 7 years old car in no time..

its just a plug n play HID, just buy the set from the seller as he imports in from taiwan by himself, so thats why he can give an unbeatable price, personally i am not willing to pay 300 or more for HID now, so over priced
