There was only one team playing football on that pitch and that wasn't Arsenal. Sorry to say but they fouled more than tackled, lost possession like some boys kicking a ball around the field, and had nearly zero creativity in attacking.
No one steps in for tackles, rather they are contented with silly little fouls so they can regroup in their own half is NOT defending. Tony Adams would have kicked the crap out of Clichy for that horrible defending. Also, he can't cross for shiet. Time to replace him?
Arshavin just looks disinterested, Song was a joke compared to his predecessors Veira and Flamini, the whole attack lacked bite. Save for Nasri, Walcott and Wilshere, there just wasn't any spark in the team compared to the last Invincibles.
I might be moaning and moaning but the sad fact of reality is this team does not have IT to win the league just yet. I hope to eat my own words by May but the winning essence just isn't there.

TOPIC CHANGE

Is Wenger trying to build a superb passing team? It's kinda hard if you don't have someone like Xavi or Messi in the centre. Chamakh, RVP and the Bender can be counted on delivering the finishing touch but Fabregas himself is not good enough to do it. Also, I noticed a distinct lack of speed in the team now, not like back in the Invincible days where we can rely on someone like Henry and Ljungberg to open up space thanks to their crazy runs. It's like they like to pass the ball around for the perfect run to score the goal. It would be OK if Arsenal actually had some defensive nous like a Serie A team where they can re-possess the ball quickly but sadly this is not the case. Wingers who can't cross, no strong DMs (VEIRA, PETIT AND FLAMINI, WE MISS YOU!) and a tough, experienced GK = defensively dead Arsenal.

Pretty football is good and all but there's no point if you are not winning. Remember the days when the Gunners could knuckle down and get down right gritty if it had to be that way i.e. smashing long balls, counter attacking, tackling super hard etc? Back to basics please.

i really hope aw would consider signing 2 fullbacks both left and right come january transfer......to compete and fight for sagna's and clichy's place respectively. Someone the calibre of dani alves  brows.gif and who's the best left back in the world right now  hmm.gif

Honestly, Lauren and Ashley C*nt has never been properly replaced. Clichy was just in the right place at the right time when Wenger had no choice but to play him there. Even Flamini did better than Clichy when he had to stand in a couple of matches.
