QUOTE(neb @ Dec 11 2010, 07:12 PM) very unlikely to have no power, circuit need power to drive LED/laser to produce optical signal
motherboard usually provide 5 VOLT to power S/PDIF module
[attachmentid=1933106]
This usually required for toslink in. but for output, 5 volt not really required. here the link: http://www.epanorama.net/documents/audio/spdif.htmlhttp://leoricksimon.blogspot.com/2006/05/s...-interface.htmlthe problem is, the signal is TTL, not coax. he he This post has been edited by ariff_tech: Dec 12 2010, 03:56 PM

QUOTE(scsoo @ Dec 12 2010, 04:23 PM) Thank you .. thank you.... I was trying to reply in Logit85 Engrish.... So he understand better.... Might as well ask him to buy the converter... seem like give him alternative solution he don't appreciate... so let him spend his money.. Maybe he can also buy a Sub25 also. (Helping fellow forumer that can't wait to hear if ever Logit85 will ever buy Subwoofer) Ok, I am out of this Thread as TS doesn't seem to appreciate my help.... Final Word... Best Luck on buying converter Coax/Optical/whatever... to Logit85.... case closed
