QUOTE(winner @ Dec 19 2010, 09:19 PM) MBB does not have cash redemption at the moment. SCB also have cash to be redeemed. You can use 5,000 points to redeem RM25 cash back. It's better than voucher redemption, where you need approximately 12,000 points to redeem a RM50 shopping voucher. But MBB has on-the-spot redemption for items/vouchers at participating partners.

QUOTE(persistence85 @ Dec 20 2010, 11:09 PM) BT is more worth. Say you swipe Rm10k, and u do BT, then u can put ur cash Rm10k to put in the bank for FD and enjoy the FD interest rates. FD interest is not much also!

CIMB DA BT is:
0% for 6-month (have been around since early 2010) 1% for 12-month (just recently introduced)

I thought at Petronas, it should be CC first and then Mesra card.
I always do that.

QUOTE(keith_hjinhoh @ Dec 23 2010, 10:42 PM) My experience of applying the OCBC branch only requires my existing credit card and nothing else. I walk in to the Masjid Jamek branch, in which, I think that's the HQ of OCBC Malaysia? The process of application takes up 5 minutes. After 3 weeks, the card was mailed to me. My income is merely RM3k before deductions, but well, they don't check for my pay slips. I have taken a joint-loan with OCBC too. But that makes me wonder if that helps. If you have existing principal CC, it's sufficient to apply another CC. No other documents required.

QUOTE(dattebayo @ Dec 29 2010, 06:30 AM) got a question regarding payment my MBB Visa has its first ever statement dated 28 Dec, the outstanding balance let's say is RM1000, minimum payment amount is RM100, Statement balance is RM1000, payment due date is 17 Jan 2011 I already paid RM1000 today, so outstanding balance reduced to zero.. but say I spent another RM200 today, will it or will it not included in the current month statement? Do I still have to pay the RM200 before 17 Jan 2011? Whatever amount that spent after statement date which didn't appear in the statement balance will be billed in the next bill cycle and you do not have to clear it until the next bill cycle.

QUOTE(BboyDora @ Dec 30 2010, 09:13 AM) Wanna clarify something. Did we compulsory need to enclose EA form as well to apply cc? I asked CIMB and PBB and they say compulsory. It is possible for me to to apply without that document? or maybe can I use other supporting documents such as promotion letter, salary increment letter. etc ect thanks in advance For my 1st card, I use employment letter. After that, I only use payslip and IC. I don't use EPF/EA statement to apply for CC.

Holding too high credit limit is dangerous. I won't carry my DA Platinum in my wallet.

QUOTE(PPZ @ Jan 2 2011, 08:54 PM) hmm.. may i ask.. what is DA means? sorry ya.. anyway, i will try to apply for OCBC Titanium and in that case, i think i need to cancel my EON GSC. CIMB don have GST?? you apply OCBC with your CIMB? you mean BT? DA stands for Direct Access from CIMB used to be under Southern Bank Berhad.

QUOTE(Nepo @ Jan 4 2011, 03:50 PM) Is it safe to pay online using credit card. I m afraid of hijacking. Visa or mastercard, which one is more safe on internet payment. Some website/bank offers 3D Secure Authentication called "Verified by Visa" or "Mastercard SecureCode".

Guess I can dump DA Mastercard now since no more attractive deals. Weekend rebates shortened. Petrol rebate retracted.

QUOTE(erry- @ Jan 4 2011, 11:12 PM) me thinking the same way. and my gst will be charged on this coming 27-jan! how eh? i only have 3 weeks to give them time! haha To cancel DA to avoid GST charged, need to do it early. I read a clause somewhere. Not sure if 3 weeks is enough to perform the cancellation. This post has been edited by David83: Jan 4 2011, 11:37 PM

QUOTE(ronnie @ Jan 4 2011, 11:18 PM) I mean ask DA to credit 10,000 points for you ;-) Never try that but since I rarely used the CC. I doubt they'll give that to me. I used the card for BT. So far, 5 BT done with only one ongoing to.

QUOTE(erry- @ Jan 4 2011, 11:35 PM) last year i cancel my DA Visa by call 3 days before renew date. at the statement shows will be charged on 27 but my statement is on next 13. cancelled it on 24 jan and my next statement 13 feb dont have the gst (2010) but until now, the card number is there (on cimbclicks) I think it takes 6 months for the cancelled CC number to disappear from CIMBClicks.
