You must be new here. Refer to older thread for pictures. laugh.gif

New here in the thread? Probably but my experience in ordering from Amazon dated since 2002 and I know how kastam officers works from then till now.

Unless you "paid" logistics to clear your stuff, that is another story but 50 to 70 titles at one go and the kastams release it to you can only mean:-

A). Those idiots are sleeping at their job (which my encounter with them, some kastam officers do sleep at their job literally; even saw one snoring).

B). You pay "handsomely" on "teh tarik" (even my experience on "teh tarik" was the greedy police officer at the police booth; even RM 2 he wants! Sheesh). A friend of mine have to go "closed door" to pay off a lot of cash on a RM 1k toy figure just to clear it.

C). You manage to sneak into the complex and grab your stuff (which is a fantasy).

Showing "pictures" don't mean anything, its "how you manage to get your 50 to 70 titles" at one go that matters to most of us puzzle forumers here rolleyes.gif

No need lubang or anything. Those who have follow this thread long enough, they should already know the way. For newbies and recent adopters, have your Amazon shipment ship to a US forwarding company, then forward it back to Malaysia instead of shipping direct from Amazon to Malaysia.

Some examples of forwarding companies are vPost and Borderlinx.
*
Doesn't that require "paying extra" for the shipment?

Update:- Holy crap, he's right!

Wow, seems like your knowledge of kastam officers are not deep enough, because my way of shipping doesn't involve any of your A, B or C. I guess you're the only one puzzled here, not "most of us" because I have been helping more than 20 regular forumers to ship each month for many years. smile.gif
*
Well, you are right on one thing - you found a way to "escape" from the clutches of kastam officers only. Hey, 20 regular forumers is still consider little if you take a look at how many newbies around here that joins this thread... can't blame those who did not know since not everyone do check back dated thread post.

My knowledge on kastam officers is based on 'experiences' with them was based on the laws and rule/regulations and even meeting with them plus even talking to the kastam officers.

You just show us "how dumb they are (again)" and how there is a way to escape from it (literally).

You only found a way without being "tax" and if they knew this information, they will get their hands full on this.

Anyway, this is good info and like I said "I am new to this thread"

Wait ~ using Borderlinx still requires payment for shipping charges:-

QUOTE
Examples of shipping charges

Weight examples  Standard Service 4 - 6 days  Express Service 2 - 3 days
1 kg                    $ 24.00                                  $ 39.00
2 kg                    $ 30.50                                  $ 47.00
5 kg                    $ 50.00                                  $ 71.00
10 kg                  $ 82.50                                  $ 106.00
25 kg                  $ 173.50                                $ 196.00

So means using this services for 50 to 70 titles need to pay like this much for the shipping services just to have kastam clearance?!?

Is this worth it? rclxub.gif

Worth it for those who order 50 to 70 titles... nod.gif

u need to see his collection before start saying this..
he should be around 500++ titles now...
not just normal one..mostly is Limited edition
*
I used to have 500++ DVDs also ~ limited edition ones as well as hard to get ones but I do not buy 50 to 70 titles at one go and he did say twice a month even... Not that rich since mine is accumulation over quite a number of years...

There are others that have thousands on their collection as well... my question is are all 50 to 70 titles that he order per shipment are all his or does he order and sell some of the BD titles to other people? If the shipment includes not just for personal collection and some are for selling to the public - that means he also do use the funds to buy for his own personal collection and its accumulation to up to 500 over titles...

I used to be in the DVD business (for more than 4 years) as well until people rather just DLC or get them themselves.

In any case, not everyone can afford 50 to 70 titles per shipment (unless you earn a whole lot of income) and to have 50 to 70 titles or more in a month, who also has the time to watch every single title when some of us need to work as well...

Anyway, good for him that he found a way and it also helps anyone that wants to order in bulk... but to us for personal collection at a small purchasing power, not everyone buys everything. I used to be proud of my own collection... until I realize there are "better" things in life than to have a good collection of BDs or DVDs instead...

Like nazmanson, I am a big fan of The Happening. I thought it was a good throwback to the cheesy 50s sci-fi films. I think it's one of those films where criticism is misguided.

The f***, got Summer sales some more? Whole year every season wallet bleed lor liddat.
*
The Summer Sale is not as great as Black Friday sale. There will be like 30 to 50% discounts on selected titles only so its up to you if you want to purchase. Usually when Summer comes, whatever movies release during Summer they will try to relate with some of the titles (like Iron Man when Iron Man 2 was released in North America, they slash the price like 50% off the retail price).

So this one is if any titles that you might be interested and think 50% off is good, you can order.

I will see what titles are there but likely, I'll save it till the next Black Friday... thumbup.gif

Anyone own Danny Boyle's Sunshine?

Get ready for some serious movie bug problem ~ it seems the "picture-to-picture" feature can't be turn off ever since 3.50 firmware update... this sucks! I am watching now and there is no way to switch it off... cry.gif

That's the problem - 3.5 onwards the firmware got this problem watching Sunshine with picture to picture not able to shut down...

Besides... that's an assumption you make and that there are "others" that do use PS3 to play shakehead.gif
