Please help me clarify this. Not fully understand  the e-mail from amazon.

- So they refunded my money but charge me again for the replacement order?
- I need to send back the original order if I received it?
- Have anyone sent back the original order after they received the replacement order?

they charge u and then they refund it back... in the end u pay nothing for the replacement copy...
normally they ask u to send back... as for my case... my first email to them they said send it back...
but i was too busy to go to post office... after a month i email them again and purposely ask them if i can keep the original copy...
to my surprise they said i can keep it...
aiya... dat guy sure quick...

I didn't ask sending back my origin "The sound of music" box set if receive, maybe it not even reach Malaysia already MIA.

Amazon not suppose ban Malaysia, if they want to ban, ban i-parcel 1st which not reliable, keep MIA (I read a lot complain at forums seems a lot user facing parcel MIA if it is send out via i-parcel).

Hope this time it won't happen again's as my replacement still via i-parcel... hmmmmm.............

I think Amazon use a lot i-parcel during BF, you can track either via Amazon site or i-parcel website as well, the message written sometimes slightly different when tracking via Amazon or it own site.

So people have leak some information that haven't confirmed officially during these few days about BD new:

1. Jurassic Park trilogy would be a big late 3rd or early 4th quarter release.

2. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy: Extended Editions on Blu-ray sometime this year. No kidding.

Blu-ray, some would say, is finally making waves in the industry, about to hit a second wave of euphoria thanks to Blu-ray 3D, and yet the big names in the tech world are still trying their best to slam the format against the wall.

"Blu-ray is going to be passed by as a format", claims Stephen McGill, UK Xbox boss in a recent interview with xbox360achievements.org.

When asked whether or not McGill thought a Blu-ray drive in the gaming console would add to its shelf life, the big cheese had the following to say:

"I think people may have spoken about that originally, but that's long gone. I think people now recognise what a smart decision it was to keep the pricing low, and actually Blu-ray is going to be passed by as a format. People have moved through from DVDs to digital downloads and digital streaming, so we offer full HD 1080p Blu-ray quality streaming instantly, no download, no delay. So, who needs Blu-ray?"

McGill's comments are understandable, the company has been, like Apple, pushing movie downloads via the Xbox 360, and comes at the same time Microsoft has announced it will be launching its Zune services in the UK.

The Zune offering will let you download and sync movies and music via your Xbox 360, PC and Windows Phone 7 smarpthone.

While that doesn't mean 3D Blu-ray movies for the time being, it doesn't rule out 3D movies via download either.

Extended Lord of the Rings Blu-ray Expected This Year
As principal photography is about to finally begin on The Hobbit, The Digital Bits is reporting that New Line, under Warner Home Video, will release the extended edition of The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy "sometime this year," in order to "keep the franchise fresh in the minds of fans."

The Hobbit will open in theaters in two parts, in 2012 and 2013. Afterwards, the studio is expected to release an ultimate Blu-ray box set including all five movies, with 3D versions probably also available.

All of the above must be considered unofficial until there is a formal announcement from the studio.

I think Amazon US screw up big time using i-parcel to handle their deliveries.  I'm still waiting for 1 BF package.

Like anfiedude mention it is about the distance to display. In fact distance and size are correlated. You sit 1 feet from the 24" monitor and 6 feet from a 60" is probably about the same.
I think as usual, sKyWiR3pT3lTd is just trying to help anyone in this thread.
Until 4k resolution is here, too sharp an image at a screen >70" will look pixelated and may have eyeball tracking artifact during motion? ie need to tone down the sharpness. Is that understanding correct?

Looking at CES 2011, I think this year we will finally see huge >60" displays coming into the market in volume.

I recently purchased a blu-ray disc from Amazon.co.uk which is region free but broadcast with content of 50hz - PAL.

What does the technical specs meant? Does it mean it is only affecting those players from USA - what about us, is our Blu-ray player compatible with contents of 50hz.
