well, benchmarks for Core i7 2630 is faster than Core i7 740QM, but in real time using, Gaming doesnt effect at all which score the same score, where rendering which have minor different which is not significant
maybe my real life experience isnt strong enough to proof so, the only advantages for Core i7 2630QM compare to Current claskfield/lynnfield(Core i7 740QM,840QM,940XM), sandy bridge which is Intergrated graphic card, and the small Nm tech which is cooler. but For core i7 2720, 2820,2920, which is different story compare to Core i7 2630(marketing stratergy). QUOTE(Dell2011 @ Jan 18 2011, 03:13 AM) The core i7 2630 like you say is slightly better than the last gen i7 740QM, but the i7 2630 comes at a fraction of the price doesnt it? Alienware m17X-R3 carrying those proccessor. some how Core i7 2630 is just for for OEM, Marketing again, hahaha. Since its the entry 2nd gen i7. Where as the i7 740QM is more high end, and expensive, but with a same if not lesser performance level. Logically thinking, the 2630 would be better. Have any laptops in Malaysia started rolling out the i7 2720, 2820 and 2920 yet? well, for those who can wait, just wait, for those who have tight budget and cant really wait, just get thier ideal laptop now, tech thing will never stop, after this sandy bridge 2012 will be launching Ivy bridge again, then WAIT AGAIN? |
