If you picked the B+RGLED, there is a shortage. Just contacted them, they told me now it'll take at least 3 weeks to build my system.

Why shipping so long one? Haih, sad. What time did you place your order?

Looks like I really have a long time to wait. Cantonese: yau pai dang.  doh.gif
*
I ordered mine on the 4th of December. I read in the original XPS thread, someone mentioned that the shipping date is just an estimate, so there's a possibility that I might get it earlier than the 28th. Here's hoping biggrin.gif

Am so jealous....

Is it a FullHD screen or normal screen? when did you place the order?

I placed order on 20 Dec and till now they have not even send me an ETA.
*
i went with FHD screen. ordered mine on the 4th of december and got it on the 22nd. ok lah, not bad. they said 3-4 weeks. lucky that i got it less than 3 weeks (although the wait is torture lol!) i guess all the delays due to the shortage of FHD screen, like TheWandererX mentioned a couple page back.

It's weird that GT500M series are already out but Dell is producing new laptops using GT400M series...
*
i think the number is not important no? coz from what i read the 400 series far superior than the 500 (saw it in engadget just now)

Wth, thats like so freaking late! I thought it was supposed to be announced on 1st of February? no?
*
just now i check dell my website. its looks like m17x with sandy bridge is here. for XPS, it looks like the price cut is in. slightly cheaper than before. so sandy bridge xps should be soon i guess.

btw, do you guys get random shut down on your xps?? it happened to me a couple of times. not that annoying, but one time i was in the middle of Black Ops and then windows just automagically shuts down. its not like immediately dead, but a full on windows shut down, like when you normally power off your laptop. could it be the heat killswitch or something?

looks like ur lappy is overheating.....did u put in cooler pad?

try check ur temp with HWmonitor.....
*
no, no cooler pad yet. i guess i should go buy one now sweat.gif i just realize that the shut downs happen during gaming (once in Black Ops, twice during Resident Evil 5) so it must be the heat. but will monitor my temp with that HWmonitor thing and see how it goes.

back to the hdd talk, mine is a Samsung. i guess Dell just put in any brand they can find eh??
