I've not have any experience with broken bones before, so I really cannot comment on that.
on the skin infection, useful things to keep around are:
- saline solution. get the big bottle of contact lens liquid from tesco. quite cheap. this is useful for cleaning the skin, and also for softening up matted fur. also very useful for cleaning the areas around their eyes. useful for cleaning any wounds too. saline solution is not as painful as cleaning with water, and this is personal experience from cleaning my own cuts and scratches

- cotton balls for cleaning. ie. wet the cotton ball with the saline solution.
the vet should have given you some antibiotic cream for the skin infection right? make sure to use that
fur shaved off can grow back wan, so don't worry about that. most important of all right now is to handle the skin infection first.
for the food, you can try some better quality food. fur condition will improve a lot with a better diet. but control the amount of greens and carrots though. you can probably add in some rolled oats into the diet too.
rabbits of a different breeds getting along, it really depends on how you bond them. if both are males then its more difficult (fighting to see who's the boss) unless you neuter them.
Thanks for the infos. For food i will look for the one u recommend. In JB not many shops sell rabbit supply. So quite hard to find variety.
For now i wont be mixing the rabbits. Coz the lop seem to be 'interested' in the babies n r trying to mate??? With em... looked scary so i separated them. Currently in 2 cages. N i let them out to play separately.
The doc gave an antibiotic cream which im applying twice daily on the infected areas. For nw he is free from matted hair coz i sent him for grooming n all was taken care of.
