yellow.hunter where is your location??
in my opinion..it doesnt matter if u sell it or give out for adoption..u just have to find the right person (an animal lover)...i agree with vincentwee...when u give/sell ur rabbhit...give the stuff also...so that at least ur rabbit can feel a bit 'at home'....
i hope u'll find a good owner...
i myself is in the process of adopting a rabbit...very excited!!!

yes will definitely look around..
im trying to tame my rabbit (named Hazel)...its quite hard since shes alr 3years old...shes not aggressive but cant pick up yet...it'll take time im sure...but cant wait to hug her!!!!

btw is it ok if my rabbit eats grass??? because i let it go in the garden and she eats the grass...on certain types tho...scared its gonna effect her health.. coz her previous owner told me to feed only pellets and just certain brand..no vegie/fruits/hay/anything else...or else she'll get diarrhea...(and ive noticed that after letting her out she poops like diarrhea once..thn normal poop after that)....so blurrr on what to do..called the vet..they said maybe adjusting to new diet..if diarrhea for 3 days thn bring her in...

any input??

Recently adopted 2mo baby rabbits from a friend. Currently feeding them endless supply of alfalfa hay and pellets twice to trice daily. Poop so much tho!!! Is that normal? Trying to toilet train them. So far so good. They pee in 1 place but poop everywhr.

Very manja like to cuddy up when i let them hop around in the room.
When is the right time to start them on veggies n fruits?
I want to teach them tricks so wanna hive treats.

Just adopted a holland lop. His skin is not looking good. Areas of matted fur n some alr infected. One of his front leg looks hurt. Broght him to the vet. It seems he has skin infection due to the matted hair which has been pulled out of the roots and his front leg is broken and has healed itself. So he will have a limp.
Ive 2 baby rabbits of diff breed. Is it ok to mix them? Im scared they will gaduh.
Plus, any supplements for the lops fur? Special food maybe? Currently feeding him britter bunny n timothy hay (he doesnt eat alot. Unlike the baby rabbits..Hmm) and daily green vege n occationally carrots. The vet shaved some of his fur off. So he looks very kesian now. sad.gif

I've not have any experience with broken bones before, so I really cannot comment on that.

on the skin infection, useful things to keep around are:
- saline solution. get the big bottle of contact lens liquid from tesco. quite cheap. this is useful for cleaning the skin, and also for softening up matted fur.  also very useful for cleaning the areas around their eyes. useful for cleaning any wounds too. saline solution is not as painful as cleaning with water, and this is personal experience from cleaning my own cuts and scratches tongue.gif
- cotton balls for cleaning. ie. wet the cotton ball with the saline solution.

the vet should have given you some antibiotic cream for the skin infection right? make sure to use that

fur shaved off can grow back wan, so don't worry about that. most important of all right now is to handle the skin infection first.

for the food, you can try some better quality food. fur condition will improve a lot with a better diet. but control the amount of greens and carrots though. you can probably add in some rolled oats into the diet too.

rabbits of a different breeds getting along, it really depends on how you bond them. if both are males then its more difficult (fighting to see who's the boss) unless you neuter them.

Thanks for the infos. For food i will look for the one u recommend. In JB not many shops sell rabbit supply. So quite hard to find variety.

For now i wont be mixing the rabbits. Coz the lop seem to be 'interested' in the babies n r trying to mate??? With em... looked scary so i separated them. Currently in 2 cages. N i let them out to play separately.

The doc gave an antibiotic cream which im applying twice daily on the infected areas. For nw he is free from matted hair coz i sent him for grooming n all was taken care of.
