Hi all. Just bought a rabbit today named bunneh. Will upload pictures soon.

She's always very sleepy and wont struggle. Is she okay o_o?

She's still very small , i think the pet shop cheat me on the age.. Said about 2 months.

I'm feeding it hagen pellets and alfafa hay right now. The pet shop auntie said not to give it veggies on the first day.

Pet shop said that its a normal rabbit , but its more fluffier than usual. Dark grey coloured.

Bought a toy with bell inside for her. The cage i used actually i used to keep my big family of hamsters when female gave birth , it is about 6times bigger than my rabbit. Once when she gets used to surrounding im planning to open the door of the cage for her to walk in or out whenever. Is it okay?

Can i feed it kang kung? Wondering how to toilet train the bunny . Went to scott garden pet shop @ old klang road and found litter box but its kinda big for my cage. Wondering if bunny will go in cage and do her business there only if possible. ( My friend bunny was like that )

Oh yeah i stay in an apartment. I saw some leash for bunnies in a pet shop. Do u think i shud buy it to bring my bunneh for a 'walk' every evening downstairs?

2nd day with bunneh living with me.

She's became lethargic .. kinda and had diarrhea , i washed the mess off her fur and blow her dry.

Now what shud i do D:. i forced her to drink water to hydrate her but she refuses to eat at all..

But its kinda wierd . There are times where she was weak , and there are times here she jumps around , then become weak again @@

Is she just tired or what? When i flip her upside down , she does not struggle and yet sometimes she struggles.

Im so confusedd

Cute ND buns ! ya, as far as i am concern, RM300 for two ND is quite cheap and from the picture, the ND buns look good and should be more than 6 weeks, at least. Rabbit is highly sensitive animal, they get stress up easily and their little stomach can not simply in anythings. give them a properly housing, good quality pellets and hays, clean water so that they can grow up healthy. give very minimal carrots and fruits as these are only treats. for me, it is not advisable to give them eat vege cos they are still very young. stick on hays should be good enough. so, all the best to you and hope u find bundle of joy by having these two cutie pie  rclxms.gif

ya, hagen pellets and alfafa hay are fine. if can affort, go for brand like Oxbow. alfafa hay should be gradually reduced when your bun reaches 6 months and above. adult bun need high fiber hay such as timorthy hay. alfafa hay contain high protein which will make rabbit grow fat but, u can give it to your bun as a treat. same goes to pellets, should gradually reduce when your is more than 6 months. u can give pellet for one meal and the rest of the time, give unlimited timorthy hay. carrot and fruits, give small amount, may be once in a week. all these are my bunnies' diet and they are almost 5 years old. still healthy, active and happy, thanks God. besides, healthy bunny should poo and pee a lot, u should feel happy to c that. if your bun does not poo at all, i think he/she is in serious trouble  smile.gif

today my bf took bunneh out from her cage and let her run around the house. I think she's kinda toilet trained a little , coz yesterday when i take the cage from the balcony and put inside , she auto go inside , poop and pee and then come out.

But today , she go pee at the wire there doh.gif Aiyaaah

OK. Time to post about my bunny, Mello.
Bought him at the end of last year from J Jay Petstation. He's a Holland Lop. I think I posted pictures of him on this topic before =]

Now he's reaching 1 year old (He was born around October or November if I remember correctly) and he's been with me for months, but he doesn't seem to be happy at all.

1. He wouldn't eat ANY Timothy hay. I know reading a lot of resources that at 6th month onwards I should gradually switch him to Timothy hay, but Mello wouldn't even touch it. I think he rather die than eat Timothy hay (There was once I tried to not feed him anything but leave Timothy hay in his bowl only for a whole day, but he rather starve than eat it). What can I do about this? I'm continuing to feed him Alfalfa and Pellets since those are the only things he eat, but I don't think this should continue for long.

2. He is VERY timid. He does not like coming out of his cage to play. I can leave the cage open but the only thing he will do is (when I'm gone) walk out and start shredding the newspaper that's put under the cage into a million pieces, and then stomach some of it. Then he will find a corner (or even the gap between the cage and the wall) and just stay there quietly. Similarly, if I bring him to my bed/living area he just finds a corner and just stay there. Really doing my best, but no idea how to get him to warm up to me.

3. He is very easily startled. Like, if you try and touch him also he will startle with a fast jerking motion. Try and pat him and sometimes he will startle and run inside the potty triangle to hide.

4. Refuses to be toilet trained. I tried the tactic where people say you take their poo and newspaper with their pee and place it under the netting in the potty. Done that for months, yet he still prefers pooping and peeing randomly.

Sigh... it's like everything that could go wrong went wrong with how I am having him as my first pet. Don't know what I can do =/ I care about him, I really do. Anybody with any suggestions?

Different bunnies have different personalities. You have a shy bunneh. yawn.gif. I read in the internet that u have to leave it in the cage first , put some hay at the toilet and when it start using toilet onli u let it out.

My bunnie so cuteee. But yet destructive. With me watching her while she do stuffs , she likes to remove the plastic pin ( to insert 2 pin plug ) from electrical cord. Then move away. When i put it back , she runs back there and remove it again!

I'm so lucky that she dont poop n pee everywhere , though sometime i see 1 or 2 poop , and she only pee in hidden corner ( like behind my amplifier ) , once i block there , she wont pee there and control her bladder.
