Two neutered male New Zealand White rabbits for adoption.
Am currently fostering two abandoned male New Zealand White rabbits (approx 5 - 6 months old). They were part of an abandoned* trio, but since the third rabbit is female, I've taken the males since the original rescuer doesn't have the space to keep them separately.
I've paid for them to be neutered (on 05/12/11), and they’re currently recovering. Healthy, friendly, come over for head rubs. Their fur colour should be white (as per their name), but since they were previously kept in housing with poor drainage, there are some tinges of yellow due to urine stains. This should not be a deterrent since over time, they will shed the old stained fur and have clean white fur.
They are to be adopted as a pair since they have bonded.
I'm looking for someone who has the time and commitment to care for them. Preferably someone who already knows that caring for rabbits is very different from caring for other types of pets. And that rabbits behave very differently from dogs or cats.
Note: I will be asking for an adoption fee. Two main reasons:
1) If you're not able/willing to pay to adopt them, you're not likely to be able/willing to buy them hay, fresh vegetables and a good quality pellet (Oxbow). Or pay for veterinary care if they should fall ill.
2) Some people might be looking for a free meal for their snake.
