QUOTE(@nn@nn @ Jan 8 2017, 11:10 AM)
I recently got a rabbit, just a few days ago. The rabbit seems to be very scared of me. And just now, all of a sudden, it started running around the cage aggressively, kicking out all the bedding and when it stops, it started thumping its leg. I'm not sure what ticked him off. He seems to have calmed down but now he just hides in a corner.

Let it run around the room
I lock you inside toilet few days you'll do the same lol

Hi All,

Just got 3 dwarf bunnies about 6weeks old. Question - do we need to constantly feed the bunnies with kibbles? i feed them once a day with 1 cup about 40gm with genesis extrude. Also i ensured the hay is filled all the time.
*
they eat non-stop so just make sure got food for them to munch and water to drink all the time.
if they stop eating then it is a bad sign, quickly goto the vet.

yes... i can see that, just concern the eating is really non-stop for such small bodies. wonder they will overfed and obese or not. they're all infants.
*
if old enough for solid food then okay.
will eat and shit non-stop.

Zenix... These few days i noticed my bunnies dont eat as much should bring to vet or continue observe?

Rabbits are sensitive pets
If they're not eating or shitting 24/7 better go to a vet ASAP

If you don't want to risk desex operations
Keep two of the same sex
Should be ok when you not home
But let him out when you're home to run around

QUOTE(ForlornBrat @ Nov 22 2017, 11:10 AM)
Yesterday my bunny was so weak and encountered head tilt problem. Went to Vpac Kuchai lama for checking and doctor gave antibiotics.
Any idea how to take care of head tilted rabbit? He looks like he's suffering. Trying hard to stand up and he couldn't. Heartache seeing him being like this.

He's 8years old senior bunny. Doctor suggested to put him to sleep but I can see that he's trying hard to fight the illness and he did take all the antibiotics and medicine without much struggling.

Any suggestions where can I send him for checking or any guides on taking care of him?

1. google for "critical care"
2. look for rabbit savvy vet like dr ben or the lady at kemuning

Hi guys, a new owner of a 2month+ old Netherland Dwarf buck kit. I noticed that the thread hasn't been active here, may I know if there are still any like minded, active owners here?
*
i think the same community is more active in FB.
search for malaysian rabbit owners association in FB.

i am think get a pet since i am staying alone here  , but most of my neighbor have cat and doggy can  i know  does rabbit  need a lot maintenance like cat ?
*
among the usual pets people have i think cats require the least maintenance.
if you only thinking of having something in a cage to feed water and food daily.
clean the cage and pet when you're free.
play with the pet only when you got mood.
then cat or fish is much better.

does rabbits  follow the owner where ever the owner  goes like to the kitchen  and in and around the house? But unfortunately I don't have a garden for it to play at 😥
*
not really but depends on personality some do but generally don't....

generally this is how pets think of us humans:

dog: you feed me, you must be alpha dog, i will be your loyal companion
cat: you feed me, i must be god, i will only manja u when i need something
rabbit: you feed me, but u r still a scary giant monster
