QUOTE(stupid434 @ May 25 2012, 03:04 AM) hi, they called u today n will be doing the assessment n interview in july? well they called me last wednesday. I am also taking this june p5 and p7. I sent mine since last year thinking I'd pass that seating and complete it altogether. KL or JB or PG? Bcos, i will be sitting for ACCA in june. N I prefer to have the interview after the exam. So do u think that i should send my resume now? Ms Soo Min, the caller kept asking me on how are my chances of passing this year, from the questions, I thought I'd never get the chance but she told me to go for assessment anyways. Most probably suggesting they are in deep need of staff? theres gonna be 2 intakes, one in june, and next one in september because they will have to wait for our results. however, assessment and interview are being done few months earlier. just send it la. who knows right? |

QUOTE(ThanatosSwiftfire @ Jul 12 2012, 06:03 PM) Oh plaza sentral ah. then that one cannot help u. But if u park at lot f (the big empty carpark opposite brickfields asia college), that one u can get a stamp and it's RM6/day oh, so what the akak said is right la sorry for being useless, but where exactly is park lot f? the only place i cud think of is the open space right at the end of the train station parking compound. probably the only open space parking around kl sentral, right beside the construction, is it? so u took the shuttle to 1 sentral la juz now? |

Can I just ask a few seniors here who are in PWC?
its on the interview. I've just passed the assessment stage although I'm not letting my horses down yet. I'd truly appreciate it if anyone could share their experiences during the interview, like:- i.what are the common questions they ask ii. what kind of answers they expect to hear iii. Will they be aggressive? (kill me on the spot?) iv. What can I show to them that could be my best selling point? Somewhere on this thread i think I heard that once you pass the assessment stage, then its a smooth ride. LOL? seriously? Because I think I am compromising myself from time to time |

QUOTE(Dry Pillow @ Jul 17 2012, 06:07 PM) One more question; in the context of EY, what's the difference between audit assistant and associate? The salary level appeared to be the same but just wonder why the different name. they are actually the same audit assistant audit associate for the different name, I have no idea but thats the only thing different about it. |

QUOTE(ComingBackSoon @ Jul 17 2012, 09:27 PM) To be honest, I think you don't have to be the perfect candidate to get the job. Just make sure you can speak good English and can flow with the conversation. But there's no harm trying to ace the interview, so here are my answers to your questions, based on my personal experience applying to an entry level role: I am so indebted to you "i.what are the common questions they ask" No competency questions at all. Everything is about whatever you wrote on the application form or your CV. We talked a bit about results. Talked a lot about my extra curricular activities. And since I studied overseas, quite a bit about how awesome that country and the people are. Prepare for questions like: Why did you get a B for this subject while the others were all As? What did you do when you volunteered in this charity? What did you do when you get into sticky situations at your previous job? Which other firm did you applied to and what would you do if we all make you an offer? My advice here is, know your CV, and know everything about yourself. "ii. what kind of answers they expect to hear" In my opinion, answers which demonstrate self awareness, critical thinking, maturity, integrity, initiative and of course, confidence. "iii. Will they be aggressive? (kill me on the spot?)" My interviewers were extremely kind and sweet... In fact I would say I am more aggressive than them. "iv. What can I show to them that could be my best selling point? " Try to talk about things which are unique to you. There must be something special that you have done that most other people have not done, find that special something. For example, I talked about how I juggled between my studies, my part time work in a small accounting firm, and my commitment in the student union. That seemed to have impressed the interviewer. Research more about the firm before you walk in, if you can demonstrate that you know something the interviewer don't know about the firm (quite possible if your interviewers are not very very senior), you will impress the hell out of him/her. Oh, and prepare some intelligent questions for the interviewers as well. Good luck! Thanks again |

QUOTE(Khoo Chun Shean @ Jul 18 2012, 01:06 AM) as u have finished ur studies, if u still cant developed wat are the things that differentiate u from other pals, wic is ur best selling points. we might jus feel sad on it. it is the failure of current edu system. i encountered alot of my pals are still enjoying, duno who they gona be in d future, duno their own strength and weakness. sometimes i tried to change their ways of thinking but i cant see any effects. now all are none of my biz. but i guess u are not the kind im talking about. Good luck! you know what, thats exactly whats on my mind right now. I don't think a lot of my pals have grown up yet, most are still afraid to lose their social life out of work. most are still not serious, most can't plan for the future. I guess being relatively matured and driven could be one of the things I could brag about thanks. will definitely use this during the interview today. Thanks again |

lol. got back. I was interviewed by Mr Herbert. most of his questions are all what you'd find HERE by browsing through a few threads.
1. Where would you find yourself in 5 years time? 2. Give me an example of how did you show your leadership skills. 3. What perceptions do you have about audit? 4. How do you manage failure and disappointment? 5. Tell me a recent news which caught your attention recently. he was also quite impressed with my good command of English. He also praised me for giving a good question which is "what would you expect from me from my very first day of work". Well, I can't say I nailed everything perfectly, I don't think I answered well for the most part, but I guess it was satisfactory. not here to brag about it, but I guess this should help a few others in the future. thanks to a lot of people who has given me quite a few heads up on these |
