I see. I was suppose to go for an interview later during the day after the assessment but the tax manager was running late so the HR personnel had to reschedule. Until now she hasn't called me back yet. Does this mean Deloitte reject me already?  blink.gif
*
i think you can always contact them back to get clarification or to reschedule.

*

well afaik, supporting docs need to be given by the client. we don't have access to their system/ docs. probably he thinks that auditors are being paid to do that all by themselves.

You are entitled to annual leave even in your first year.. How many days of annual leave you get depends on when you join the firm..
I joined in mid september... so I got like 4.5 days of AL... it's pro rated..

Big 4 are quite generous when it comes to benefits especially when compared if all the other firms.

Do have to take note though that.. having annual leave doesn't mean your annual leave will be approved for sure.. it really depends on the timing of your annual leave

yeah, mine need to be carried forward. peak period.

So, is it true the new Deloitte office is in Menara IGB?

Sry for asking so many questions. Is it perfectly normal for new comer to observe 6 months probation period ?
*
well i guess its normal.

and bout menara LGB, its much better than the one in uptown in terms of looks and facilities. but food choice, uptown is better though.

Hi. Need some opinions.
I have a Diploma in AnF and passed ACCA 6 Fundamental papers. (Taking 3 more F papers in Sept exam) But due to financial probs I wish to work asap and get the remaining ACCA papers sponsored.
Does anyone know if big 4 will consider..? Or i should not waste time applying at all.
*
you can try your luck. i remember last time when i joined the firm, there is a guy with diploma and acca that joined, but the pay is rather low (around 2.2k).

Haha. You sound happy. biggrin.gif

But yes, deloitte do hire ppl who is half way in their professional papers, the position they will get is called audit trainee, and I think its 2.3k.

Lets say you join at June and youre waiting for your final paper results, once you pass your final one, yuor pay will auto go up to 3.2k tho, which is ppl with qualification and new joiner punya rate. Degree only 3k.
*
lol not that happy. leaving really soon. tongue.gif

Working almost 4 years in a shared service. Getting reallly bored of it now. Thinking of going into Deloitte's Business Analyst - Technology role but so far no response.

Audit is secondary for me even tho I'm an Accounting graduate. Any advice or ideas on what else to do?
*
Business Analyst - Technology? its an IT audit job. u'll get bored after a while. lots of travelling, but work wise its pretty much the same.

What kind of allowances or benefits should you expect to get from working in Big 4 companies?
*
i have no idea bout the other 3, but for deloitte, no allowances. medical rm600 per year for clinic, rm300 dental + optic, and bonus is performance based (normally 1 month on normal performance, max is 3 if you're really good in your work).

U mean thats the limit per year right? what about the limit for hospitalization n outpatient? main benefit of working with d big 4 is the mileage/per diem claim due to frequent traveling drool.gif although sumtimes can rugi  tongue.gif  tongue.gif  tongue.gif
*
i might be wrong, but iinm in deloitte hospitalization are not covered (even going to clinic, you need to add RM5 per visit). probably you can check with HR on this matter.

mileage/ claim? lol. if you are in a job, and only you are assigned to it, then yes you can gain something from there. but the nature is, at least 3-4 staff assigned in a job and only one car can claim.

1 km = RM1

but if 4 staff assigned, it is divided into 4, meaning you'll only get RM0.25.

this also affects on parking claims.

like me, i think i rugi a lot when i was in deloitte. sweat.gif
