QUOTE(tannyboy91 @ Jul 15 2015, 03:34 PM) Just wondering when applying online for big four and middle tier firms, should i attach condition letter. My current cgpa is out since i got my results last month. However honours classification and final result will be out end of this month, 31st July. Therefore, the condition letter i got it from my uni but condused whether should i attach with my onlline application I usually make it a point to provide the latest CGPA/ results I have, even if it is not the final certificate. It will still serve its purpose to HR.

QUOTE(I_Thought @ Aug 12 2015, 08:00 AM) Hi all, hope you all are well. Fortunately that i have cleared all my paper during the june 2015 sitting and finally an affiliate. (Cleared all in first attempt) I have just applied to all the big 4, summited my resume and cover letter and waiting for their reply. My question is that, usually how long it takes for them to reply me? For the expected salary, i have enter RM 3000, is this too much? Im getting a little bit anxious and afraid of getting reject by them due to my degree results (second class lower). thats the only thing that lower down my self-esteem. Regret for being so lazy during my degree. Hi there. Don't worry about it too much, usually takes ~1-2 weeks to get a reply, sometimes more. I used to call up HR after a week or so to check on my application status and it seemed to speed up the process, so its something you could consider. Expected salary seems fine, they would offer everyone a standard package anyway (as far as I know). Good luck!

QUOTE(rockstarlive2 @ Sep 20 2015, 02:19 PM) Anyone got tips on the big 4 advisory/ strategy arms in Malaysia? Do they take fresh grads? Yes, but its rare. You'd have to be quite exceptional. Thing is, many of the advisory/ consulting associates have prior work experience before joining, whether by hiring choice or just the general view that "you'd need x years of audit experience before applying".

QUOTE(imabunny @ Sep 21 2015, 07:01 PM) That's not actually true... Advisory does hire quite a lot of fresh grads for most lines. There r some which are more technical (like transactions advisory) may require previous audit knowledge but in general there is quite a lot of intake of fresh grads. But it tends to be mostly foreign grads from top universities. Apologies, agree with your statement. My reply was skewed towards consulting and possibly strategy roles too. A side observation though, at least from one of the Big 4 firms, new associates (entry level) often have some sort of prior experience.

QUOTE(SonicSpyro @ Oct 2 2015, 12:03 AM) Could you explain more? Maybe PM me what it would be like? I'm more towards IT than accounting/finance. Consider advisory/ management consulting roles instead
