all nikon lens have international warranty, it doesn't matter where you buy it from.

AFAIK US/SG/UK lens are more exp than local shops, you might find cheaper only in HK

its not grey as it is covered by nikon warranty, it is international warranty mean u can go in nikon center anywhere in to world to get it serviced regardless where you bought it from as long as you have the warranty card and it is still valid

if the body and lens still can use jz keep using lo...buy new filter + lens hood only

if u still wanna send in for service u can go Nikon Center at Time Square

price need to bring it there for them to assess the damage(if any) and what need to be replace only can know the price... time also depends on the damage(if any), some they can repair, some more serious need send back factory which will obviously take longer

cleaning used to be free with warranty, now they are charging also...dunno how much

celz y dun try the Black Rapid strap...

in the flash menu under commander mode set the built in flash to "--"

then the popup flash will fire only to signal the other flash gun group to fire and will not have effect in the picture

sometimes when im going out with just 1 lens on the body i wish i got a small crumpler no need bring so big backpack
