I left the un-rooted world the 2nd day i got my Desire so i dont quite remember but I'm sure its the bootloader you are entering. once you are rooted then you'll be able to access recovery. If i recall lah.

To enter bootloader you simply hold Vol Down button + Power button while the phone is turned off.

Nope...you don't need to root in order to enter HBoot.
Just press Back + Power, you will enter the HBoot.
But without rooting there is no recovery choice.
Just Fast Boot, Clear Data & Restart.

Added on January 5, 2011, 10:48 pmOh...I root on the 1st day I got my Desire.

Guys,
i juz downloaded LeeDroid 2.3D but total size about 160MB....
that is complete full rom.....is there any patch zip file for 2.3b update?
*
The next patch after 2.3b is 2.3c.
So install 2.3d as whole new ROM is fine.

Sense or NonSense....I've been using LeeDroid 2.3c since I got my phone on 30 Dec last year. A week later, I tried Oxygen GB for 3 hours & later downgrade to Oxygen Froyo 1.04 for a day. I turn back to LeeDroid upgraded to 2.3d.

AOSP is definately blazing fast, but alot of incompatility. Camera not working in GB version & GPS not working in Froyo version. I really like to continue to use Oxygen Froyo, only thing I feel is the driver incompatibility issue. Also, noted the screen is not as crisp as Sense base ROM.

Well, all this are personal opinion. So, no harm trying other ROM. Just wait for GB version to come to Desire with full driver compatibility, I will switch to AOSP.

so far the best and stable version comparing to other release...on my usage pattern,my battery last about 18hours...ok for me...

Bro, you using Diviner Battery right?
How many hours it usually mentioned the phone will last?
I went to Bangkok on Thur, bought a AIS prepay card & insert into my Desire to surf & chat.
Well, I was suprise to see, Diviner show I have 40 over hours of batt use despite I only have 50% left.
I thought it may due to the line there help preserve battery consumption....smile.gif
I recall, before I left to Bangkok, my phone show as normal 12-14 hours when it's 100% fully charge. Before the flight took off, it's balance only 6 hours left.

Since I got back last night, chuck my Digi card inside Desire, it show the same, 40 over hours batt use despite I only have 50% left.

Hm...I was wondering, before I head to Bangkok, it show a pattern of usage - 12-14 hours normally.
But since I got back from Bangkok, it's weird....now it's @ 83%, & showing it's balance usage 43hours.... hmm.gif

I just wondering how accurate is the Diviner Batt app?
