Those are what separates the 60D from the 550D, but do potential buyers really need those features? Most of them who are clueless about DSLR as such, will just go " Waaaa Canon 60D is the latest camera, i should get it!" or " 60D looks good! I'll get it" . Just like that.

Like i mentioned earlier before, if you need those nifty features offered by a 60D over a 550D, then get it. If not, why even bother? A 550D will do it's job excellently also.Not talking about subjects which require fast AF lock on or excellent AI servo performance whatsoever..

Then again, some might just prefer the bigger body of the 60D. The grip is bigger, meatier and nicer to hold especially for those with bigger hands. A bigger body would be able to balance heavier lenses better also, due to the extra weight.

Difference between 550D&60D body is roughly around RM800.Is it that worth it? That is what buyers should think about

erm , how bout giving extra info like what your father gear are ? ..... help to give more accurate answer ....
they u need to find your others point to support 60D ... ISO performance , sensor , weight , video , etc ...

as for the LCD .... i love the live view a LOT more than LCD ... just for reviewing is fine   .... unless u always take bird eye view / low angle shot / video , then u may like the LCD (it is more like a bonus feature )

(that why dun really fancy a33 / a55 ) , oh a note to A33 /A55 ... i am not sure if it is just my friend ..... but the battery drain faster i guess .... may b due to the LCD view finder

Desperately need you guys help!

My current compact camera (Nikon Coolpix L6) photo taken not that sharp anymore. Maybe due to my baby girl 'accidently' drop it on the floor.

Im looking for a compact camera for easy usage. Furthermore, due to my shaky hand, its kinda difficult to take photo with 1 hand. Furthermore, the camera that can solve that problem normally will be more than RM1k.

Hope you guys can assist me here.

im not sure wether i got this fact right onot, but a fren of mine (who lives next door to me ), is using a D5000. i ask him why not D90? he said that the big diff between these 2 cameras is the vari-angle screen, and the D90 (920k-dot resolution) while the D5000 (230k-dot resolution LCD screen), D5000's smaller, the D90 got this upper LCD screen as well (which looks nicer to me IMO ). other than that, im not really sure. btw, from my point of view, i think the D5000 is more for a starters who wants to try some new things with the LCD screen that can swivel, and it smaller, hence its lighter. the LCD screen may come in handy if u're trying to shoot some high/low angle shots. but maybe viewing back ur images will not be as nice as viewing on the D90's 920k-dot screen. if u dont mind about the screen resolution, go for D5000. and if u do, D90 then. hope this helps 

p/s- if i said anything wrong about these 2 cameras, pls do correct me. the fact is i only read about these stuffs. i dont own any

I'm actually contemplating, because I can get a D5000 with 18-55mm kit lens + a 35mm f1.8 + extra battery compared to only D90 with 18-105mm kits lens. however, is the extra battery necessary in D90? i'm so confused nowwww 

erm.. i'm sorry, but IQ in a sense of what? can you further explain it? i'm also worrying about the downside of 1 versatile lens

oppss, i totally miss out  tx5... y tx9 is exp than tx5 while function all same and tx5 got waterproof ? 

but i prefer canon 300hs tho... sony's price is quite un user friendly and the design its totally same in these few years 

lx5 is too big for her... she just need a dc, all auto 

outlook wise, sony really win, but the design remain same for couples of years, kind of boring to the design dy... all T series look 99% / totally same... my fren wont use video function, so full HD or not doesnt really care...

tx9 hv background defocus function, don't know how real is that, from the commercial its totally amazing 

but i know its 99% impossible 

3 models i shortlisted for her now, canon 300hs (my top suggestion), tx9 (only if background defocus really works), and tx5(like its waterproof) 

Between Nex-5 and DSLR, both are good and have different characteristics. Just search for the difference online.
Depends what you need? Are you willing to carry a brick inside a backpack for photography or just carry a handphone size camera inside your pocket for ease of mind?

@chiahau: yeah..rite? but still.. i've read better not go for a sony alpha dslr cuz they might not continue with dslr and focus on nex.. Canon or nikon is no problem for me but.. there am i again.. confuse whether i should go for a dslr or nex instead... sigh..

Otherwise, you may consider EPL-1 also if you need PnS with DSLR qualities.

i am really considering on buying the nex 5~ hurm.. so, which package is okay? 18-55mm or the dual lens? i read some good reviews on 18-55mm but not so much for the pancake 16mm.. The pancake is just for portability right? No extra effect on picture?
