streamyx to unifi is consider an upgrade. your contract will be renewed for another 2 years from the installation date of unifi. there's an additional charges for extra wiring.
im not sure myself how the wiring works but you can look few pages back to find any answers to your questions or just ask around in here, no harm.
since there is a promotion, why dont you subscribe online ( https://occ.unifi.my/HSBBCustomerPortal/HSB...erPortal.portal ) and enjoy free 1 month subcription fee ?
yes, the 15 january - 15 february promotion ( save RM200 on installation fee ) is on. so, no installation charges and free 1 month subcription ?
or if you sign up using a form at tm point, you save on the installation fee and if you sign up online, you get the 1 month subcription ?

* guys, working on a slight add up/change to the front page, 1st post.

the one month free and installation free you must register it online, btw even though its 1 month free, you still have to pay the first month bill coz its 1+1 for first bill as in advance payment for the +1 , unless i understand it wrongly

got a question here......if I were to sign up online today, would I be able to choose the last 4 number through their website?

also can i choose the date around 15th of March through the website for them to install?
*
yes, just like i did for last 4 digits for phone.

if you register already u can chose the date you want it to be installed, so if you register before the 15th u get waved installation + 1 month free . after that just find the date you want to install . unless they limit you to install for example the date for appointment is grey/ no red undelined dates.

thats what i think anyway.

of course la.

http://www.bwmonitor.com/

download this software, see what's your speed while you're streaming 1080p vids, if it's at your max speed and the video is still buffering, then VIP5 isn't enough for smooth 1080p viewing. tongue.gif

okie thanks bro ill test it out

not advisable.. its best to make a loop of it.. cause if 90" the signal/light cannot be reflected

and worst the inner reflective plastic/glass(depending on quality) will crack and you signal will drop

thats why you see on those tm poles they all "gulong" the cable rather than band it 90"

so basicly the telekom contractor sabo my unifi? in my room got 2 L shaped fiber cable going to my ceiling

There is still no official news on whether caps will be implemented and how it will be implemented in the future.

The only official news is that there are NO caps currently until further notice.

Therefore, any news from unofficial sources that says otherwise should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Your options are either to gamble and go for it today,
or
wait until the official news on whether there will be caps and how it will be implemented comes out.
If your router is upstairs and the tv is downstairs, how will you plug the STB to the router?
Please bear in mind that streaming of Youtube videos does not depend solely on your internet connection. If it's too popular, there could be congestion. If it's too unpopular, it might be hosted on a slow server, etc etc. Too many variables to indicate if it's your line problem or not.

What the previous person who asked you to try using that bandwidth monitor meant is, if your internet line is maxed out, meaning you're downloading at a consistent and sustained 600kbps+- and the 1080p video streaming is still stuttering or buffering, then that means the connection is not fast enough. As you can see from your own screen shot, this is not true for your situation.
Maybe you should take a picture of the L shape and post it here so as to avoid confusion.

well okie here is the picture i took from my phoen ( i know it sucks , its a very old phone..)
