Hi all,

I just need an honest opinion from u guys. I'm currently using Streamyx 1MB package and my monthly bill is about RM110. I'd say I'm an average downloader (tv series, movies and games) and video streaming usage is quite a lot. I'm currently living in an apartment at Kota Damansara so I know it's already covered. I'm currently looking at the VIP5 package.

My concerns:

1. So if you were me, would u upgrade to Unifi?

2. Another thing is my current devices are the D-link 520B modem and the Linksys WRT54GC router. Do I need to get a new router if I use Unifi?

3. If the usage cap is implemented, how much would the speed be throttled? Is it true about the daily cap?

Thanks! biggrin.gif

I've emailed and call unifi regarding my Streamyx blockbuster 4MB contract cancellation after installing Unifi.

They said i can apply unifi online and get both the promotions and cancel my streamyx at the nearest tmpoint without getting penalty after i get the Unifi installed.

Any1 can confirm this?
*

yes. when you go to tmpoint to terminate the streamyx & old homeline, just bring the sign-off form the technicians gave you after the unifi installation smile.gif

yup. i just had my VIP5 installed and after seeing the connection stable for 1 hour, i went to TMPoint to cancel my 1Mb Streamyx & old homeline. No penalty whatsoever. i was using the Blockbuster deal so the phone and modem was free and i didn't have to return them. smile.gif

so far the unifi speed is just amazing. torrent download can reach 600kbps and upload even reached 700-800 kbps man.. rclxms.gif
