i prefer my modem and router to be placed upstairs where all the computers in my house are, but i also want the IPTV thing to be placed downstairs...Fiber Optic Termination Point/firehomeunit must be in upstairs or downstairs?

UPSTAIRS = fiberhome --> BTU --> RG (HOMEPLUG)
DOWNSTAIRS = DECT PHONE --> IPTV (HOMEPLUG)

works right?

fiberhome,BTU,RG must place in same place right?

RG to STB is network cable. If your friend does not want to pay, just use the included 1m cable to test the IPTV and buy own cable outside.

but they provide 15meter FOC.... biggrin.gif

Read the table you provided again. 15m free refers to FTB to RG. RG to STB is only 1m free. As mentioned it's just a normal network cable which you can buy yourself much cheaper than what the contractors will provide.

what is FTB? rclxub.gif

BTU-RG 1 meter
RG-STB 15 meter
