QUOTE(j.sun @ Mar 24 2011, 08:35 PM) Any reviews on the ironclad and scarab? Thinking of getting either one. Any lyners? I know can google the reviews and what not, but i need feedback from users. Like , how you feel the mat (ironclad / scarab) etc etc. Many thanks. =) This is my simple review or Ironclad. The mouse pad is very smooth, good for high dpi laser tracking and good build quality. However, compare to soft mat such as Goliathus Speed, the Ironclad is making a sound when you swipe your mouse. Apparently they are eating my mouse feet too.Performance wise, I'll choose Ironclad over any Razer mouse pad, soft or hard This post has been edited by Vigilant: Mar 25 2011, 03:54 PM |

I had to choose Razer over other brands because of the blue LED backlit and black theme for the peripherals. For mouse I feel Mamba & Deathadder are quite comfortable. The tech specs offered by Razer is also top notch.
However Razer product are quite bad in quality. They should do much better since their products aren't cheap. The aesthetic look will deterioriate after a month of heavy usage. Not to mention 1 out of 5 Razer product I had, will have techncal problem out of the box or after certain length of period using it. For me in term of quality build and not overpriced gaming peripheral, Logitech is an ideal choice. Steelseries is also one of the favourites, but the price is expensive anyway. |

He doesn't know about mechanical keyboard switches, but the fact is BWU sucks anyway.
I've known many users have clashing keys problems & many more with this keyboard. As I said, Razer have very bad quality. My BWU got problem just right out of the box and I had to fix it myself. |

LOL, okay, anyway why Razer haven't do any gaming gear for consoles? They have Onza, but that's it? It's just a controller... try make a mouse for consoles or something, I like Razer's mouse, some of the design worth a praise.

For gamers we would like to see many of these vendor or distro displaying gaming products, not to go to that PC fair to buy thumbdrive.

QUOTE(OKLY @ Apr 14 2011, 12:16 PM) Well, logically speaking a harder mat definitely will wear it out faster. There are feedbacks from hard mat users that it eats up the mouse feets faster while some don't experience it. I suppose this is all down to how the user swipes his mouse across the hard mat as well. Yes, that's true, I've experienced that, if you want to save up your mouse feet just go for soft mat. For me I have 2 sets of extra feet for my mouse, so I don't mind using an Ironclad. I think local distro should bring mouse feet for sale here, easier for those who can't do online purchase. Yes the market won't be much demanding for it, but I think availability is a must since Razer is quite popular here.QUOTE(OKLY @ Apr 14 2011, 12:34 PM) But there are some benefits for a hard mat as well such as certain laser sensor might track better on a hard surface. Plus it also won't have problems with uneven table etc. For the mouse feets issue, actually isn't a big problem, you'll just need to get replacements for the feets. I agree, for lower DPI settings around 1800-3000 my Mamba tracking on Goliathus is still smooth, but for higher DPI, it starts to skips. Ironclad however, have a very smooth surface, which improves the tracking. |
