Hey guys, i wanna ask a question abt surround sound headsets.

Ok i only give 3 surround sound headsets from different brands for you to choose which one is the best.

1. Razer Megaladon
2. Steelseries 7H
3. Roccat Kave
*
For Megalodon's price, I would definitely avoid it if possible, it's not like the sound quality is far better than the rest and it is stuck with USB only. sweat.gif

If 7H vs. Kave, this is very subjective and both are great headsets in my opinion. Whether you trust ROCCAT or SteelSeries more, it's your call.

Looks odd, prefer the usual size and shape of a mousepad.

the mousepad seems doenst good in use ...i mean moving around wif ur mouse since the size is too small compare to the standard 1
*
Guess this will just be a "collector's item". Don't think so there will be anybody who uses their mouse from left to right only, there's got to be movements upwards and downwards too.

QUOTE(yupio @ Dec 22 2010, 01:34 PM)
Any Lycosa user here? Surprisingly I asked any user facing issues with their Lycosa and none answered.

Guess I am the only one having bad luck....both my Lycosa & Mamba got into RMA claim. Now using ciplak kbd n mouse sad.gif

Still no news on my Mamba but on the Lycosa, the supplier gave me a few options for my RMA :

1. Replace me with a new Lycosa
2. Refund me $$$

I plan to obtain the refund (no. 2) since from googling around, I find Lycosa has some known issues with design and problem is gonna come back even though they replace the entire kbd with a new one.

Once I got the refund, I am wondering if I should get the BW Ultimate...any user here can post further detailed review? And especially any problems faced? Like keys not responding, stuck keys etc?

I am not a serious gamer, so I am considering the BW Ultimate vs Logitech K800....anyone can comment on these 2 kbds??
*
The BlackWidow will be a good buy if it is to be compared with the Lycosa. I think so far we have yet to hear serious issues with the BlackWidow, so far I think only zandara mentioned about the key clicking sound is different on a few keys on his BlackWidow. I guess so far it's zero failures.

In my opinion, if they are willing to refund you then it'll be great. It is rare to be offered a refund. laugh.gif

whats the difference between  BW and Ultimate other than backlight? Aiyooo very attracted to the lights 0.0
*
In my opinion, although some people say that they don't require the lights and the extra audio + USB ports, it can come in handy one day. Not unless you are someone who keeps changing keyboards, then going for the Ultimate version in the long run seems like a better choice. biggrin.gif

is this a proper thread to ask about the upcoming Tron keyboard? When will it be out and is there an approximate price already?
*
I think we can expect it to arrive in the coming 2 months, likely to be in January I suppose. hmm.gif

Does Orochi got any problems so far?
can it used for more then 2 years?
will it last?
*
Whether it will last or not also depends on how you use it and also a bit of luck. If the Orochi you bought is problem free, then you are in luck plus if you take good care of it and perhaps if you sweat less than others during gaming then that should prolong its lifespan too. smile.gif

Thanks yupio for the honest opinion biggrin.gif I guess we are the same and have tried both mouse. Yes the Razer Mamba does a better job as it's smoother and fits our hands a lot better. However the battery life is just a turn off. I can remember having to use the cable every now and then in the middle of game sad.gif
*
I guess it'll take a while before battery life of wireless mouse gets better. I think even the current longest lasting battery life cannot satisfy a hardcore gamer.

I believe so which is why they say "up to" and not specifically saying it will last 14 hours biggrin.gif Seriously, I never expect the battery life to be so bad. I mean, 2-3 hours is totally unacceptable for what they call a heavy duty "gaming" mouse laugh.gif After that I ended up with Ikari Laser which is wired (again).
*
Well yea, I think the average battery life should be stated according to a majority of gamers' usage habits (e.g. with lights or not, dpi setting etc.). The stated battery life should at least be closer to actual results. sweat.gif

I thought you haven't receive your Lachesis Refresh but after seeing your signature, everything is clear. laugh.gif

So this time there are no pictures from you of your new Razer device?

@jasmine so they just repair my imperator or replace it with a new one?
*
Depends on the severity of the problem, if it is beyond repair then probably a new one. Anyway, if you bought it from a retail shop or dealer, they will most likely ask you to refer back to the place you bought it from.

my media keys are definitely faulty. playing a song on WMP, pressing F7 WITHOUT the pressing FN will mute the volume. F8 decrease, and F9 increase volume. the rest not working. Press FN+F7, nothing happens. so do i call ban leong? i didn't register my product online yet
*
Where did you bought it from? I think best if you refer back to the dealer/shop that you bought from, if it's directly from Ban Leong's roadshow/expo then yes you should contact them. Registering online doesn't do anything to the warranty as far as I know, it will just keep you updated with driver/firmware updates etc.

so you mean i should buy normal blackwidow instead of ultimate ?  blink.gif

But at the end of the day, you still have to get something that you like. If you like having the backlights and extra USB + audio ports then by all means go for the Ultimate.

I've used many Razer products and I have the Black Widow Ultimate. So far the most problematic product is the Razer Mamba and really not worth the price! As for the keyboard, it's working fine but the ticking sound is quite loud though laugh.gif
*
Which happens to be one of the selling point as well, the amazing clicky sound when the user is typing. Typewriter feel makes it great to use for typing. biggrin.gif

LOL it's just my sense laaa. hahaha i feel a little delay when playing games. i wanna try using orochi. but none of my friend using that. T_T if it's good enough, no lag or anything, i think i'll buy it. tongue.gif
*
Definitely will have slight delay with a wireless mouse but it shouldn't be noticeable. If you notice it, it's pretty bad which can mean 2 things, 1 is either the mouse/receiver is faulty or the technology is crap. sweat.gif

At "wrist rest" area of the BW quite prone to finger prints or any kind of dirt as well. Maybe Razer will include an optional wrist rest in the future?

Well, judging from its description, I can already say that it would cost quite a lot for it since it is branded as a revolutionary device. sweat.gif
