I do have a situation where i have the old Astro dish (not decoder) lying down at my stores. Left by the house owner.

Can this be sold off? I believe its costly..anyone with brightest suggestion?

hook up the dish to old decoder, and you could get free astro satellite radio brows.gif

buy FTA decoder about RM80 and you could receive a few channels from taiwan and a lot of channels from thailand

but if are not really interested in tinkling with satellite TV, sell it to recycle centre, they pay by the kilo drool.gif

actually FTA channels are limited, some interesting programs like discovery are all encrypted

if you only have KU-band dish, you will get even less channels, however C-bnad 1.8m dish is entirely different sotry, lots of free chinese language channels

by the way FTA decoder cost about RM80 per set, ask around college students from china, sometime they import satellite equipment into malaysia from their hometown brows.gif
