Gran Turismo™ is a largest fans based game in PS3. Currently all topic regarding GT are made in subforum playstation such as

1. All Things Gran Turismo 5
2. Official LYN Gran Turismo 5 Driver List
3. Gran Turismo 5 Memento™

As the last update of LYN GT players list, it shown more than 150 ppl is currently active and playing GT atm before the list scrap off by evohahn.

At the moment all topic regarding Technical issue, Car tuning setup, Guideline, Multiplayer, Online invitation are cram into 1 thread. The issue discuss are often left out becoz of too many topic made by the player and the thread are moving really fast.

We are also planning to organize an Official LYN GT5 Championship for all the LYN players. This will required several more thread been created to allow the organizer to organized and planning the championship smoothly since the player base are big.

Here the overview of topic regarding gt5 that will or might be created for the LYN GT player if we can have a subforum.

I do agree with creating a subforum for GT5, GT5 have a very big community and still growing.

Instead of placing GT5 as a sub-forum under Consoles couch, maybe we can place them over at Gamers Hideout, since most of the games with huge community such as WoW and CoD can be found there.

got to agree.. the gt5 discussion thread is growing abit tooo huge already.. people question will be missed and hard to keep track on the changs... the new sub orum will help the gt5 community alot..

Its not a distinctive category to get a sub-forum. I think many other games are still on the similar section of Playstation as threads.

They remain as threads with sequel versions. I vote in although i think its has to remain as threads like the rest.

i don't call 150 player base as HUGE. and instead of sub-forum, why can't you just create another thread for another shit that isn't covered in that 3 threads?

and since when kopitiam style 'i suppork' is allowed in here.

I agree that GT5 should have a sub-forum.

There are just too many things to share and discuss and it's just too hard to keep track of everything if it's all under one topic

I support this move as well, mainly because there are a lot of options and features that will be implemented in GT5 for sure.

And furthermore, though I might not agree that this will be the best driving simulator game for this entire year but this game is going to be one of the best.

Please consider mods, or else the Console section would be clogged up with many threads of the same topic.

Gran turismo is well known for a playstation unique games and 1 of the most playable games in PS3. I do feel it will be nice if this games have it own subforum under the Playstation as gt5 itself specially made for ps3 fans. There will lots more thing can be discuss , question, sharing information and others thing that can benefit by the gt5 players with a subforum.

Then every other game that gets 'popular' will have people clamoring for its own subforum.

Why not if the games have big fans based and active? Forum is there for us to sharing information and discuss. When a games that have big fans based, there a more thing to discuss and 1 thread alone cannot serve it purpose.

Im requesting for a subforum not becoz i want Gran turismo to be called SPECIAL. It becoz i want us the gt players have a room to discuss without interfering with others game threads in playstation subforum. Otherwise, a non gt player will sooner or later get annoyed with all the gran turismo threads swarming the playstation subforum.

Im just requesting a room for us to better organizing the topic. I'm saying 150 player is based on the list just after the game release (with ppl that listing their name. Not to mention there are many that didnt list their psn id). If u look at the pre-order of Gt5 in garage sales, there are more than 500 orders alone for gt5 games.

Did u really take a look at current gt5 thread? 10 pages in a day? You ask question and sometimes it not even answered or been left out. People keep asking the same question when the answer is in page 55 and current page is 110? People organizing an open lobby and need to keep posting the lobby ID becoz his ID was posted in 4-5 pages behind in just 30-45 minute before? Not to mention when the GT championship started it will be more messy in playstation subforum!

You comparing gt5 with WOW. why not compare it with warcraft3? COD? Battlefield?. GT is not about GT5 alone. It about Gran Turismo series which will continues production by SONY itself. It will not die in short time. gran turismo 6 is already on the planning anyway.

As a not gt fan, it's good that u have a time to give some good point at gt related topic. But I dont agree it will die off quickly. Hardcore will play this game until gt6. more feature will be release soon. online racing will become more attractive with update & more gamer will host the online racing. Trading cars, track & maybe racers (for b-spec?) should have difference topic. how about psp-ps3 gt related? replay video upload?

Yeap. With current situation all discussion and others features are limited as the thread is too general. Trading cars, sharing track, video and tuning discussion should be in separate thread. By looking at his post i think he just want us to create new thread for each discussion topic. Will MOD allow 7 gran turismo topic in playstation subforum? i dont think so.Hence why im requesting for admin/mod consideration to allow us a small subforum inside playstation subforum.

small sub-forum is still a subforum. fifa/pes/football manager franchise which has more fan/player than your pathetic game doesn't even have their own subforum.

if they feel they need a subforum they can always request it from admin.

We the gt fans think we need it to help the community for a better communication in our beloved LYN forum. We asking and hoping that they might consider our request.

There no need for you to bash and insult us. We just asking for what we think necessary. That all. In the end, it up to the admin whether to grant our request or not.

I'm a fifa player, I'm a pes player. but i dont think, there are not so much discuss in this games. i'm not sure about the fm.

gran turismo is different. wat we play in the game will give a very valuable knowledge in reality. I dont know if we want to upgrade our car to turbo, need to be balance with braking system, suspension, tyres etc. im not an auto person, in real life, my car maintenace handled by my so. but, if in the future, if i want to upgrade my car at least i got an idea. at least overall cost. not only a budget for the turbo, but the whole things. u think that pathetic? Do u think, u'll ever shoot like ronaldo, dribble like messi, or intelligence like ferguson? maybe, if u still 5 year old.

GT game is a game not only to enjoy when u r playing it, but outside of it as well? dont tell me, after buying a house, u'll buy a stadium. but going to old trafford to watch man u live with ferguson still in charge is my ultimate dream!

It's just a request, where they have their logical points and reasons over there; not a simple trolling request.

Same goes with my previous request of opening a sub forum for photography, it works better now.

I believe he is kind enough to be considerate of other forumers view when they keep spam GT5 here and there. But of course, the end results are always determine by the staff and mod, but still, there's no need for you to bash so hard on their request.

I never said that i want to do it myself. I even said, i dont even do maintenance of my car. U may miss point. My point is, gt not only about game. it's not like, once u finished play, u wont talk about it. u want to talk about it. for now, i dont really want to talk at current thread, why? as perunding highlight, i knew once i enter "add reply" there'll be a lot enter it at the same time. make my question or anything related become unsignificant. so frustrating. to search is a waste of time. i dont go to the thread now, simply because, it so inorganize, so many things to crammed in 1 topic.

You guys can actually PM the "games section mod" to put up their ideas here. If I remember correctly, I think generally they are ok with the idea of a GT5 subforum. But then again, there is a debate to it; i.e. if we are to open GT5 for PS fans, should we then create another subsection for Halo, Forza etc.. for Xbox guys as well? This was the discussion previously which I do not know the outcome.

As I'm not an Xbox gamer, i may not qualify to give idea about their subforum. But heard forza is good, & they should try to request also. for halo, the game consider as dead. I think, there wont be any game for halo anymore in the future.

I'm not against this, but I would like to point out that this could lead to a lot of genre specific subforum requests for other console games.

Yeah, GT5 is pretty in-depth and needs various thread types, but right off the top of my head, I can't think of any other game similar to it that. But I reckon people will still start asking for their own subforums, as well.

Opening a subforum for any games that have lots of fans n features would be good actually. If they think their games need a subforum they can always come here and spill out their reason for it. Hence more fans will come n register with lyn forum since there are lot of activities n details regarding the games discuss here.

Therefore, i dont think there will be much problem with the debate about if admin open a GT subforum will make others feel unfair. Lets make GT subforum as a start for a gamers community to make a home here hence increase the lyn forum popularity at the same time .

Others games are welcome to request theirs as long the reason is good enough to be considered by admin

why not make a Racing Game subforum instead of a specific GT5 subforum?

or better yet, make use of the filter system by adding in genres of the game.

(speaking of filter system, why the heck is it only limited to technical, games and untagged lol)
