PELABURAN Hartanah Bhd (PHB) intends to revive its plans for a mixed-use development on the prime parcel in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, where Unilever Malaysia’s headquarters and factory had previously been located.

It is learnt that PHB is currently seeking Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur’s (DBKL) planning permission to commence work on the 19.6-acre parcel near the intersection of Jalan Bangsar and Jalan Maarof. One of the largest, prized pieces of land in Bangsar, it is also bordered by Jalan Riong and Jalan Tanduk. PHB submitted a fresh proposal to DBKL in June after shelving its initial development plans three years ago.

Given the increase in the price of real estate over the past three years, the gross development value (GDV) of the project is likely to be higher than the initial sum of RM5 billion identified in the original development plan. The earlier approved plot ratio for the site is said to be six. The gross floor area would be about 5.1 million sq ft.

Kuala Lumpur, 4 April 2016 – Pelaburan Hartanah Berhad (“PHB”) and Maybank Asset Management Sdn. Bhd. (“Maybank AM Malaysia”) today jointly announced Amanah Hartanah Bumiputera’s (“AHB” or “the Fund”) interim income distribution for 2016 of 3.30 sen a unit. The interim income distribution is for the six-month period ended 31 March 2016.



For cash investments, the income distribution will be credited directly into the unit holder’s bank account on 15 April 2016, while for the Employees Provident Fund (“EPF”) Member’s Investment Scheme, the income distribution will be credited into Account 1 of EPF.



AHB is a Shariah-compliant asset-backed fund with no sales charge imposed. The income distribution of AHB, if any, is payable on a six-monthly basis for periods ending 31 March and 30 September each year and is tax-exempted and payable net of zakat. Since its inception in 2010, it has distributed stable income to its unit holders.
