Hello Folks,

Would need you experts to comment & recommend as I'm looking for either a 42" LCD or LED as of now to watch some Movies & play PS3. I have quite a tight budget that meets certain criteria as below which also means the cheaper the better biggrin.gif

1) Full HD
2) 200Hz Motion Flow
3) 2 - 3 HDMI ports (the more the better)
4) Preferred brands like Samsung, Sharp & Philips? (Not sure)
5) Reasonable years of Warranty

Awaiting for feedbacks as I'm quite a noob at this area. Any potential sellers?

Kind thanks,
LEE

LCD better...buy LCD. I am looking for one too.

TS: What's ur budget?? If you want SONY's Motionflow 200Hz...i think you have to cough up at least 70% more compared to TV without.

LED(which is really LCD with LED backlights) is not really that impressive...most of the time, i just noticed they're extra bright, colours can be off. If you have cash, go ahead, but if working on tight budget, good old LCD with CCFL backlights provides best bang for buck with the biggest screen.

LED LCD tend to artificially boost the colours. That's what I always see in Samsung's LED tvs.

Nope, its not only the extra brightness...

1) Black levels for me is far better...not near plasma level...but better...some might say its the same...
This is my reason, try off a normal computer LCD, off course it will be black, but there is a slight grey tint that I never see on a LED type screen.
2) Viewing angle, LCD seriously sucks in this area..a slight shift in angle and the black color changes. LED are much better...although not to plasma level.
3) Colors...no need to say..LED all the way. One thing i hate LCD is there is a slight black outside on objects and ppl...even the latest Sony ones.

Just checked Samsung Malaysia website and actually Series 4 to 9 are having LED as well.

I found a place selling the UA40C5000 40" LED at RM3390. Is it a good price? Thinking to get this for my parents because no need to get separate media player as well.
