QUOTE(fujkenasai @ Nov 28 2010, 10:26 PM) Looking at GSL even the famous sen cant get pass 32 as others put it, he is nt who he used to be...Are there any players in malaysia that can match sen? What about the blizzard invitational only Thai and Aus made it. look at his last 3 tournaments including GSL... to me sen is overrated LOL... look at inca and top in dreamhack, they are not invincible... even the good ones may falter... nexgenius drop a match vs selectt, maka lost in blizzcon... for GSL look at how many korean vs non-korean? statistically they have the higher chance by a mile... if every1 as pessimistic as u guys then might as well not join any sport This post has been edited by evofantasy: Nov 28 2010, 11:53 PM |

QUOTE(fujkenasai @ Nov 28 2010, 10:46 PM) Damn just like one even in Asia games this time called wei qi, the top 3 were won by professional countries. How can amature beat professionals if they can those professionals can pack up go home and sell fruit or box themselves in boxes waiting to be shifted as fruits. boxer and fruitdealer |

This is not only dedication but also financial support too. Deep down I do hope that this will come true but through experience I really doubt. |

Deep down I do hope that this will come true but through experience I really doubt. i think WCG is dying, no1 really knw about it besides gamers in msia and the prize pool is just terribad... this is totally different than if its a legitimate sport for asian games or something... |

bro evo....u do know that such sponsor is only legit in S korea currently...outside of SK, only the little app factory sponsoring team liquid, i dno who sponsors EG, till now, still 0 big company sponsors E sport. while in SK, companies who sponsors Esport are really really big names like SK telecom....its like.......telekom malaysia, maxis, astro sponsoring starcraft teams to compete in leagues, pay the players to wear their jersey during competition as advertisements on Live TV broadcast.....not to mention malaysia, the next country possible would be China, Germany or Sweden only....which also will take few years...

EG have sponsors from intel, msi, steelseries and some other small sponsors (depending on game)... they have justin wong (2nd best SSF4 player in the world) in their team as well and he was sponsored wit another set of sponsors for SSF4... if e-sport is a legitimate spot, pro players could earn income by coaching as well (incontrol, justin wong etc)... as i said, people are too stereotype that the only esport is korea... only in korea u can make a living out of esport when there are people doing the same for US and EU... and if esport is a legitimate sport, korea would win everything easily... its totally not the case (maybe for starcraft but other countries do beat korean players from time to time as well)... QUOTE(evofantasy @ Nov 29 2010, 02:28 PM) this.... Not true, business looks for any opportunity to get their brand know to the public. If the event isnt popular enough then they will not support.i follow quite a number of competitive gaming scenes are sponsors are aplenty, just not in malaysia like wut quaz said... daigo was personally sponsored by madcat even lol... Then I guess the most popular cyber sport is dota in Malaysia but then again not that many company supports them. Would any team play dota 100% in Malaysia? Its not Malaysian culture to pursue their hobby to their fullest. Even for Asian games are there any professional athlete from Malaysia. That is people who earn a living through that sport. Well not yet, and they cant earn nearly enough to earn a living. This post has been edited by fujkenasai: Nov 29 2010, 03:00 PM |

ok, maybe i stereotype too much in starcraft = esport. its legit for other games in Esport (etc. SF4, FPS....) to have tons of sponsors worldwide but in sc.....till now only a few big names outside of korea...especially brood war...
